Hi, hope everyone is well. As some off you may know, I unfortunately had Covid almost four weeks ago now. Due to this I ended up with a short stay in hospital. I’m pleased with my recovery and will still be taking it easy over the next few weeks. But I did reopen the garage on Monday to do a few hours each day to see how I got on.

As off Tuesday 6th April I will be taking bookings for work, I know I have a few customers to contact which I will will do. But if are reading this please just drop me a message.

Thanks for your understanding over the last few weeks Peter

Hi, I hope everyone is ok. I have decided to put the price off the mots back up to £50 like I used to charge many years ago. This price will take effect from September 1st. I will still offer free retest, but they will need to be booked in advance and carried out within 10 working days subject to availability. Due to the mot extensions stopping on the 1st august. It’s predicted that September onwards will be busy with the normal mot work plus those who have taken advantage off the 6month extension. If you are aware off any possible reasons your car may fail an mot let me know in advance to try and help keep your car mobile. If you need any help or advise please message me. Thanks Peter

Hi I have just received notification that the mot extension will stop as off the 1 august. This means if you mot expires after this date it won’t be extended. If you would like to book your car in for a mot, service or repairs please either message or give me a call on 02380330942. My phone is still on divert as work is still quite but with this end to the extension and sadly a local garage that had to close. I’m hoping things will start to get busy very soon. Take care and stay safe

02/06/2020

Hi, I hope everyone is safe and well. I have decided to remain open although work is still quite. If you need anything give me a ring so we can arrange a convenient time and this will also prevent to many people gathering. The phone will remain on divert and I will still try and collect cars if needed. Although the government is still putting a 6 month mot extension on vehicles, I would personally advise either a safety inspection or an mot. Unless your able to check the vehicle your self. Thanks for your continued support, take care and stay safe and if you need any advice either phone or message me.

It was great seeing Matt with his DeLorean for an mot. It’s hard to believe this car is now 39 years old and there for this will be its last official mot needed.

We are open for mots and have space available for next week. Either drop me a message or give me a call to arrange.

Take care, stay safe

20/05/2020

Hi all, it’s been a busy few days so I thought I would give a bit of an update. I’m aware that there has been a six month rolling mot exemption. I’m not sure how long this will continue with people slowly returning to work. I’m also aware that many people are unable to inspect their car and a few unknowingly are driving potentially dangerous vehicles. This week I have done a couple of cars that although one had been given an mot extension and the other one due shortly, the customers preferred to get the mots done. Thankfully they made the right decision as both vehicles had brakes worn, making them potentially dangerous. I know the majority of vehicles may be ok, but is it worth taking the risk? That said if you would prefer me to carry out a visual inspection on you car to make sure there are no obvious defects, give me a call or message. I’m currently open so can carry out mots, servicing and repairs (although I have noticed a delay in getting the parts) mots are still £40 with no retest fee (although will be increased in the future) I can carry out a safety inspection which would be £24inc vat, this would be a visual inspection of brakes, tyres, lights and the general condition and would not affect your current mot.

If your unable to bring the car to me, I will see if I can arrange to collect.

Please share and most importantly stay safe.

18/05/2020

Good evening everyone, thought I would give a bit off an update. Today was my first day back. I’m currently catching up on customers cars that have been waiting since I closed at the end off May. I have a few jobs in for the next couple off days so if anyone needs a mot, service, repair or a safety inspection please give me a call or message. Unfortunately most off the local business are still closed so I will be relying on booking in work to remain open. If your local I maybe able to arrange to collect your car, if it has a flat battery let me know so I can bring a jump pack with me. My mobile no is 07867505590 your welcome to drop me a text and I will return your call. If I close due to lack off work it will be for a minimum off 3 weeks as per furlough rules unless they change the rules. I will keep you all updated as to what I’m doing, take care and stay safe Peter

Hi, I hope everyone is safe and well. I have now been able to get the calibration done so can continue with mots. I will be opening on Monday the 18th may. As things are still uncertain I will be assessing the situation on a daily basis to see if it’s safe and viable to remain open. My work phone will remain on divert so I can answer or return calls even whilst I’m away from the garage. I’m aware there is still the mot extension in place but have also seen a lot off photos off cars with defective brakes and tyres still being used. I have customers booked in for the first couple off days as they have been waiting for me to return. If you would like to book your car in, please either message me through Facebook or give me a call. I will also try to arrange collection and delivery if your unable to bring the car in. If I can ask that all rubbish etc is removed before the vehicle is brought in. If for any reason I have to close at short notice I will do my best to contact you prior to you appointment. Ultimately the most important thing is to stay safe. Take care and if you need me give me a call or message and I will do my best to assist. Many thanks Peter

Hi given the recent announcement I thought I would give you all an update. I will be remaining closed whilst I try and get the equipment calibration done so I can continue with mots. I will be chasing them up tomorrow so will hopefully have more of an update then. I hope everyone has been able to stay safe and look forward to seeing you all soon. Thanks all and stay safe

Hope everyone is staying safe. Someone has kindly drawn up this to hopefully help everyone keep there cars safe on the road.

02/04/2020

Hi, whilst I have closed the garage there are a few garages remaining open, so if your having problems your welcome to call or message me through here and I will do my best to help.

I have joined a great support group for the motor trade to get advise and help through these difficult times. There has been a worrying concern over the mot extensions. I’m aware a lot off you will be at home so the cars will be doing very few miles. But key workers vital to help the country are still using there cars. I feel it’s very important if you don’t know how to check your self then please ask someone who can as there been various photos off cars with dangerous faults still being used.

The responsibility is on the owner to keep your vehicle in roadworthy condition, and I would hate anyone to be involved in an accident.

As I say I’m here for any advise and will help the best I can. But please try and keep your car in road worthy condition.and most importantly keep safe.

Many thanks Peter

Hi, don’t forget anyone struggling to get to the garage. Please message me and I will try and arrange collecting and delivery. Small charge may apply depending where you are. I’m possibly going to be doing this evenings as well to retry and help those around working hours. Obviously this is subject to me being able to remain open. Will keep this page updated. But any concerns or help needed with mots or repairs I will do my best to help or arrange if I can. Thanks all again for your continued support
