Just a reminder its Steve Hodson’s run to Fort Nelson Portsmouth on Sunday June28th. Meet at Loomies at 10.00 for a 10.15 depart. Below is Steve’s notes for the route.
This is my proposed route from Loomies to Fort Nelson. I reckon it’s about 40 miles and should take an hour and a half or so at legal speeds.
Loomies left (past BP petrol station) straight at lights A32 towards Alton, right minor road to Steep and Petersfield, B2146 towards Harting, left B2140 to Lavant, right minor road West Stoke and Woodend, right B2146 Walderton, West Marden, left minor road Forestside, Finchdean, right Chalton, over A3 to Clanfield, Hambledon, right B2150 Meonstoke, left A32 towards Wickham, left B2177 to Fort Nelson.

Here are some details of the breakfast run to Ceasefire cafe (near Yapton) Sunday 31st May 2026
Please pass onto the VJMC members.
Destination;
Ceasefire café
Yapton Road
BN18 0HR

The Café staff confirms it is open 1000 – 1400 on the day and is expecting a large group of at least 12 around 11 AM.
Full tanks please, the newly refurbished Wickham petrol station up and running. E5 / super unleaded is available.
The run would suit ‘Middler’ bikes upwards, as there is some sections of main route A roads.
Usual pot holes on most roads.
Plenty of parking at the café.
You can meet us there for 10:45 approx
Distance 50 miles, Time 1 hr 20 mins approx

Brief run route;
Start at Wickham Square 0900 for 0910 prompt departure please.
A32 heading North for a pick up at Loomies Café 15 mins later 09:25 – 09:30.
A32 Northbound past the Angel Hotel then right turn towards Steep via Froxfied (past ‘The Trooper’) onto Petersfield.
At Petersfield (Bell Hill) go west at the roundabout towards A3.
A3 North then turn off for A272 East for Sheet then South Harting then Chilgrove then onto East Lavant.
At East Lavant turn Left, head past Goodwood Circuit then Right turn before Boxgrove for the A27 heading East for Fontwell.
At Fontwell, head South at the roundabout head South for Eastergate.
Through Barnham then continuing through Yapton.
Ceasefire Café on the RH side, behind the shooting range.
Arrive at 10:45 approx.

Just a reminder it’s the North Hants Motor Club Old Tyme Run on Sunday 24th May Starting at the Crookham Street Social Club, the Street Crookham Village Nr Fleet Hants. Check in from 9.30. It’s a 40 ish mile run, commencing at 11.00. Entry fee is £8.00 Sign up on the day.

On Sunday 12th April it’s the annual Fish & Chip run. Due to a lack of motorcycle parking in Swanage the run will end in Ringstead Bay Dorset a distance from Ower of 50 miles. There is a Café at Ringstead but no Fish & Chips!. Depart Ower services (Just of J2 of the M27) at 9.30 The run to Ringstead bay will be via the A337 towards Lyndhurst using a local short cut to avoid the town centre, then the A35 to Bournemouth, onwards to the chain ferry at Sandbanks, Corfe Castle and on to Ringstead. Full tanks please, also note the Chain Ferry is now a card only payment.
Anyone from the North Section riding down to Ower, meet me at the petrol station on the Farnham bypass at 8.15
