Vw tiguan colour matched wing, customer sent in a sample which looked like it had seen paint before and was slightly off our paint matching chips , so we scanned it which brought up the correct code but it was 2.93 away from a match, so we had our system correct and modify the formula which resulted in a mix that was corrected to a 0.8 away . This resulted in a very good colour match for an 'off the car'painted panel and much closer than just picking the standard shade.

We have invested in a paint spectrometer for closer colour matching when a customer sends us a sample. Not cheap but a great piece of kit and will allow for closer edge to edge colour matches
