Some very satisfying work came in this week

•Absolutely MINT Land Cruiser for some new headlight units
•S5 for some very spicy Eibach coilovers to be fitted with new Bilstein top mounts
•Finally an L200 for a brand new cylinder head along with all the appropriate replacement parts like a new timing belt etc

Little 1.2tdi polo in this week for diagnosis.

Fault for exhaust temperature sensor was stored.
Traced the fault to a faulty sensor, replaced the sensor, faults gone, happy days.
BUT found the DPF flexi pipe has had previous repair, causing the differential pressure pipe to snap.
Further investigation found a lower arm bush had decided to leave the arm as well.
Customer gave the go ahead. Subframe removed, suspension arm replaced, DPF replaced, coded to vehicle.
New genuine subframe bolts put in due to one being so tight we thought it would snap. But no just corroded in there, so much so the bolt thread had started to corrode away.

All bolted back together, road tested, another happy customer 🥳

First VW 1.5 TSI timing belt done at JMC, was intense with the camshaft timing tolerances but with the correct it was reassuring and gave us confidence that all was within tolerance/timed correctly. Car has gone back to the owner, everyone’s happy!

2018 Audi A4 Avant 1.4 TFSI in today with customer complaint of difficulty selecting gears. Found the clutch bite was very high, advised replacement. Clutch & flywheel are unavailable in the after market for these at the moment, no problem, genuine clutch & flywheel ordered with fitting kit. Also found the nearside driveshaft oil seal was leaking inside of the bell housing. Differential removed, seal replaced, all torqued to spec after a thorough inspection/clean. All refitted, clutch pre-loaded with special tools 🫡
