When you’ve got a cool-looking Swamper T3 Westy, why not go the extra mile? A set of CampervanCulture.com heavy-duty front and rear bumpers, a swing-away spare wheel carrier, and a full set of five Nomad steel wheels do the job nicely!

A full service and survey were also carried out to keep this awesome-looking rig in top condition. Now it’s just waiting for the front spots to complete the look!

Many hands make light work, especially as the workshop starts to get crowded! Parts are arriving to finish off quick-turnaround projects, while work continues on the bigger builds. Meanwhile, new projects are being stripped down and beginning their journey through the workshop.

We haven’t shown you much of metal work or clean build recently, so be prepared to be bombarded with rot to solid metal ...

We haven’t shown you much of metal work or clean build recently, so be prepared to be bombarded with rot to solid metal photos. Sam has been working hard to get a solid foundation on the Doka project with new inner and outer sills, trailing arm mounts, B and C pillars all rebuilt. He even made some floor repair panels and bulkhead sections. This T3 Doka has needed a lot of attention, but it’s getting there bit by bit.

Well, the VW Engine Company replacement unit arrived, so time for the worn engine to come out, and the fresh one to go in. You could just do a straight swap, but that’s not our ethos. Whilst we’re in there, the fuel tank was accessible, so breathers and filler neck were swapped out. The underside of the van is in pretty good condition, but around the gearbox void was wire brushed and waxed to keep it that way! The tinware was also spruced up, so the build up can start.

We don’t joke when we say our 16” T3 Doka Syncro is our work truck, not a show pony… yet.

This super cool rare T3 is in for a full restoration, but we couldn’t wait to show you. Yes, that is a genuine Oettinger Syncro Multivan!!! This is awesome - it’s every enthusiasts dream. The team were all in admiration, especially with its Oettinger front fogs and the extended speedo Oettinger instrument cluster.

When you buy a donor van to turn your Karmann Gipsy into an automatic with air-con, but the donor van turns out to be so solid that it would make a great daily/weekend van… well, plans change! Yep, no more air-con conversion, and now manual.

This Caravelle Cruiser also had a new side-opening pop-top fitted. The plan originally was not to colour-code it, but once it was fitted, it stood out like a brick wall in front of the Mona Lisa!

Luckily, the owner was on exactly the same wavelength and agreed it had to be colour-coded. And what a difference it makes. It looks pure class, and we’re proper happy with the outcome!

We love an uncut panel van! Lovely unbroken lines, simple and pure. To be perfectly honest, we’re like toddlers in a toy shop… we want them all! This beauty is in for a couple of minor bodywork blemishes, just to keep it looking on top form.
