One of three outstanding and experienced retailers partnering with McLaren Automotive in the UK for the 2011 launch, Rybrook has opened exclusive new premises in Solihull, Birmingham to cater for the all-new McLaren MP4-12C and future McLaren models. The new purpose built showroom is in Hockley Heath, West Midlands with a Service Centre in Cofton Hackett. Henry Whale, Managing Director at Rybrook,

said: “With their incredible passion and total professionalism, McLaren has already established a world-beating brand through its Formula 1 activity. We are confident it will replicate this success as it launches its eagerly awaited sports car company, and the 12C will redefine the sports car driving experience. We are delighted to be representing McLaren at the launch of this exciting project and we believe this appointment further enhances Rybrook’s position as a leading retailer of prestige motor cars in the country.”

The UK, along with the USA, will be McLaren’s biggest market, and initial interest in the UK for the 12C already exceeds the first year’s allocation. Rybrook joins a global network of 35 partners in 2011 who will be responsible for selling a planned production volume of 1,000 12Cs in the first year. Volumes across the model range will reach around 4,000 by the middle of the decade, built in an all-new manufacturing facility at McLaren’s Woking home. A full model range of high-performance, two-seat, mid-engine McLaren sports cars will be completed by the middle of the decade. McLaren Birmingham, part of the Rybrook Group, has a committed team with enormous experience in delivering extraordinary customer service to help deliver McLaren expectations to our customers.

M6GT: Restored by McLaren Special Operations.

In 1969 Bruce McLaren had a vision for McLaren’s road car future: “a civilised version of one of our racing cars.” The result was the M6GT.

Just three examples were built. More than 50 years on, following the discovery of original moulds, MSO has faithfully restored one, bringing new life to an icon that helped define the McLaren mindset.
