On Friday, some of our Solihull colleagues visited the Birmingham Central Mosque, organised by our Islamic Society.

The visit highlighted the importance of prayer in the Islamic faith and has allowed colleagues to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for this aspect of our employees' lives.

Thanks to the work of our colleagues and the Solihull Inclusion Council, we have a strong working relationship with the Islamic Society network. One of our most significant achievements has been the development of Quiet Room facilities, which provide employees with a dedicated space for prayer and contemplation.

While we’ve made strides in fostering diversity and inclusivity, we still have more opportunities to embrace. Education plays a crucial role in this process. Ramadan, fasting, and Eid may require different considerations for our employees. We will continue to work closely with the Islamic Society to support our employees during these times.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Iman and the Birmingham Central Mosque for giving us this incredible opportunity to learn and grow. Building strong relationships and fostering inclusivity will help us make our employees feel more valued and included.

🏳‍🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🏳‍🌈

At Jaguar Land Rover, we believe in fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and respected for who they are. Pride is not only a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community but also a testament to our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Within our company, we are proud to have established a Pride network, which some of our Solihull colleagues are voices of. These networks serve as essential platforms for our LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies to come together, share experiences, and support each other. We believe that fostering these connections is crucial for creating a sense of belonging and empowerment within our workforce.

This Pride Month let's take a moment to reflect on the progress we have made and the work that still lies ahead. Together, we can continue to create an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and free to be their authentic selves.

Join us in celebrating Pride Month and help us create a more inclusive world, both within our organisation and beyond.

Yesterday we celebrated our Proud Creators’ Day at Jaguar Land Rover Solihull! 🎉✨ The energy and excitement in the air were electric as we came together to showcase our incredible work and give our families insight on what we do here.

The day was packed with thrilling activities, from full plant tours that gave us a behind-the-scenes look at our cutting-edge production processes, to vehicle demonstrations that highlighted our latest innovations. We even got to experience the thrill of off-road adventures, testing the capabilities of our iconic vehicles! 🚗🌲

But it wasn't just about work - we also had a blast with live entertainment and delicious food from street vendors that kept us fuelled throughout the day! 🎶🍔

A huge shout out and thank you to the incredible team who planned and organised the day. Your hard work and dedication made it a truly unforgettable experience for all of us. It's moments like these that remind us why we're so proud to be a part of the Jaguar Land Rover Solihull family. Here's to many more successful events to come! 🙌🏼👏🏼🎉

Over the Christmas period, we sadly lost a much-loved member of our Solihull plant, Mick Graham, Plant Convenor Solihull Operations, and JLR Global Chair of Convenors.

Mick passed away peacefully in hospital on 23 December, at the age of 53, following a short illness.

Mick was a well-known and much-loved character, having worked at JLR for 33 years, since joining the Rover Group in April 1989. He also served as our Plant convenor since 2016.

Mick carried out this difficult role with integrity, he was able to skillfully balance his responsibilities as Trade Union Convenor with the ability to demonstrate true partnership working with our company.

We send his two sons Joe and Josh, and his fiancée Kate, our sincere condolences. Mick will be sadly missed.

To honour his life and legacy at JLR we are working on a fitting tribute at our Solihull plant, and we will be issuing a further update in due course with details on these plans.

From 1 to 12 December, our Senior Leadership team at Solihull supported 19 local charities and community causes in aid of our annual ’12 Days of Christmas’ campaign.

This campaign helps us provide hands-on support and monetary donations to those in need this Christmas. Thanks to our colleagues' incredible donations, we donated a total of £12,000, with some of our colleagues raising additional funds for their chosen causes.

Our teams are hugely passionate about supporting this campaign year in, year out. We are fortunate to be able to give back to those in need, especially at this time of year.

The day Santa Claus came to Solihull! 🎅

Working with Myton Hospices, we arranged for a very special guest to visit our site to wish colleagues a Merry Christmas and hand out some small gifts.

With the magic of Christmas and the help of one of our amazing vehicles - Santa’s sleigh flew across the plant.

Happy 1st December!

The festivities have already begun here at Jaguar Land Rover Solihull - this week we've switched on our Christmas lights at Lode Lane. December is jam-packed with seasonal activity from supporting local charities in our 12 Days of Christmas campaign to Christmas Jumper Day and even a visit from the big man himself (🎅) - keep up to date with our posts throughout the month.

Does this car look familiar?!

You might have seen it on last week's Top Gear (minus the number plate), as they put it through it's paces at the ‘King of Britain’ - the toughest all-terrain competition in the country, where it was crowned the "world's best 4x4".

We're proud to have the vehicle back at the heart of Range Rover, at Solihull for our colleagues to come and take a selfie or sit behind the wheel where Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris sat 📸

This morning Solihull joined JLR sites across the UK to mark Armistice Day with a two-minute silence at 11am.

Lead by Solihull Site Lead for the Armed Forces Community Network, Hassan Ashraf, members of the Solihull community gathered for a service to commemorate those who served.

This week we're proud to be hosting the REACH (Racial, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage) Network vehicles on site in honour of Black History Month.

The REACH Network exists to create a more inclusive culture at Jaguar Land Rover, by empowering under-represented employees of all racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds - ensuring they are represented and included in the workplace and have equal opportunities.
