Proud driving instructor moment! Every pass is special but sometimes you work with someone who needs some extra help and who works so hard to make what at one point seemed impossible to them to happen.

I am so proud to say congratulations to Deb who passed her driving test yesterday in her own adapted car. Deb drives using a push brake and trigger accelerator, with a steering ball.

Deb’s learning to drive journey has been all about persistence, every barrier she has encountered has taken time to solve but today was all about success! Finding an instructor with an adapted car, then finding the correct adaptions as mine were not quite suitable, getting used to the adaptions and finally passing her test! She never gave up. I’m so pleased for her!

24 hours 44 minutes. Paris 2 London not quite in 24 hours.

So proud of the effort we put in, Adam Clarke was amazing. Sadly a 4th puncture of the trip put pay to our quest to finish within 24 hours, but realistically yesterday’s head wind is what put pay to our target. Our legs just didn’t have the power to build up the time in hand to deal with the London traffic on the run in.

I want to say a massive thank you to my wife Marjaana Viljanto who looked after us in Paris and was one of an amazing group of people to meet us at the finish.

We made it to Dieppe. 176.9km from Paris

That is without doubt the hardest thing I have ever done, 1200m of climbing strong head wind (90% of the ride was head wind) pretty much all the way.

In 2018 East Anglian Air Ambulance rescued Adam after a serious car crash, their speedy response and quick transfer to hospital has allowed Adam to make a full recovery. Please support us so more can be supported like Adam was in his hour of need.
