Luke’s Range Rover in for a couple of new lower suspension arms!

Came in a couple of weeks ago for a diag and this is what we found! Excessive movement on the bushes!

Took them off and noticed the bushes were quite badly cracked and on a big heavy car like this it wouldn’t take a lot to make a noise!

Both new arms on now and running much smoother

Drop links and a tyre for Daryl’s motor this morning! Just had it’s MOT and this was flagged up as the issues!

New tyre on supplied, balanced and fitted and then onto the drop links!

They were quite knocky but no longer an issue!

Full service today for Richards VXR!

All filters changed, coolant drained, spark plugs changed, and of course oil!

Before changing the plugs I noticed on 2 cylinders they were full of oil 😕… rocker cover gasket was leaking so ended up being a bit of a longer job than normal but once I got the go ahead to fix I got to work making it leak free!

New gasket ordered and on and then spark plugs back in into a nice dry engine!

Today I had a few little jobs with walk ins needed some attention but this was in for the day!

Golf R in for coilovers removed and OEM shocks and H&R lowering springs fitted!

The old coilovers had seen better days, shocks had weeping, springs had heavily corroded and the top mounts were creaking when turning left and right!

It was time for either a hefty bill with new KW coilovers or the cheaper option OEM with lowering springs!

Considering the car was only mostly used for the road he opted for the OEM!

I got everything ordered and a week later he came to get fitted!

Looking much cleaner underneath now with the new stuff fitted! And also sounding as quiet as it should! Hopefully he’ll fall in love with it again!

He’s off to Santa Pod tomorrow so fingers crossed he gets on well with it!

Last but not least today was Zak’s Z3!

Wanted a couple of bits doing to make it run properly and also have a bonnet that shuts!

The old latches had failed so he opted for Aero Catches for quick and easy opening!

After that he needed a vacuum bleed on the coolant system!

He had fit a new rad not too long ago and couldn’t get the system bled up properly!

Needed a vacuum bleed and it seemed to fix the issue!

Needs a couple more bits to get it back on the road but at least that’s a start!

Some more work for the upcoming BTCC rep!

New rear wheel bearings and brake discs!

Kind of build your own this stuff needing specific things doing to build up the disc to fit!

Needed new bearings pressing in and a new ABS ring pressing on to complete the disc/hub match up!

All done and dusted now with bedded in brakes just waiting on the customer to pick it up!

Full service for Ash’s van today!

He had contacted me asking if I could do a service on the van with parts he supplied!

I said of course and got to work!

Did look like it needed one as the filters were dirty and the oil was black!

All done and dusted and clean for the next few thousand miles!
