Driving Instructor Sleaford

“I made my lesson bookings by using Leander’s Google Calendar via her page. Location was important to me when choosing a driving instructor along with them having availability to work with my schedule.

Learning the manual gears was harder than I expected at first, but then got easier more quickly than expected! The handouts and such were very helpful to have something to review and think about between lessons.

My favourite part of my lessons was when things that had been difficult suddenly start working without having to think about every single movement I make.

My advice to anyone learning is; any time you're in a car, even if you're not driving, you can still be practising by predicting what's going to happen on the road and thinking about what you would do to respond to it. I found this helpful for figuring out which gear was appropriate for a given situation.

I would definitely recommend Leander! Except I don't know anyone in the Sleaford area anymore....
I've heard enough horror stories about bad driving instructors to know that I found a good one. You maintain a calming presence even when things don't go quite as planned. Both you and your vehicle are reliable and professional. You've always been prepared for whatever is the next step, and are able to communicate this in a way that makes the whole testing experience feel much less opaque and daunting. Thanks for everything!”

Congratulations 🎉🎉 to Skye Russell of Sleaford on her ⭐️first attempt⭐️ practical driving test pass on Monday 13th July 2026 in Grantham!! 🚗🚗🚗

With her theory expiring within the next few weeks ⏳Skye was willing herself to bag her test pass to avoid the need to retake her theory 😬😬. So she squeezed in a few extra lessons ✅ over her last few weeks upto test and made sure she had a banana ✅, which clearly gave her the boost she need to get over the finish line 🍌🚀.

Great job Skye! 👏👏 Well done for seeing things through to the very end. Now you can go shopping for that Suzuki Swift!! 🚗🚗🚗

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 to Lili Wheeler of Glasgow on passing her practical car test, on her ⭐️first attempt⭐️, on Thursday 9th July 2026 in Grantham!! 🚗🚗🚗

Yes, Lili is from Glasgow🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿! and was working on an archeological project in Sleaford when she started her driver training. When the project moved to the south of the UK Lili was keen to continue her lessons with me so has been commuting 🚂🚂 from work to lessons to home in Glasgow for the last few weeks of her driving lessons.

Lili passed her test with only three driving faults ✅✅✅ and pulled off a 🙌faultless🙌 parallel park that she was pleased the examiner got to witness🤩. Lili’s looking forward to a weekend celebrating her pass and is keen to get behind the wheel of her work vehicles now she has her full licence!

Great job Lili 👏👏 and thank you for staying so committed to your lessons 🙏 and grabbing your first time pass.

“My mum reached out to Leander after asking around for recommendations for a good instructor. Likely reviews from other students were important to me, as this would show if the instructors teaching style is what im looking for. Other important factors were ; Location: I didn't want to travel too much to lessons.
Personality: I liked how kind and supportive Leander was
Teaching methods: I wasnt sure which would work best for me but this was an important factor and it worked out well. Learning to drive was pretty similar to what I thought, it was trickier to get good clutch control than I thought it would be and roundabouts took some time to fully understand. The handouts and summary's of each lesson after lessons were very helpful to see what can be improved and also where I did well, makes the progress clearer. Loved the demonstrations on the ipad when learning new concepts. My favourites parts of the course were advancing onto bigger roads such as dual carriageways, they were much more fun to drive than towns and learning slip roads was interesting. My advice for anyone learning to drive is do a lot of practise and asking a lot of questions, I only felt confident for my tests when I had been driving a lot and felt comfortable with all the hotspots in Grantham. I would recommend Leander as an instructor; she is a very kind and supportive instructor who explains complicated things very clearly, I was never confused about what i had to do which is great for nervous new drivers”

“My Mum first contacted Leander as I needed someone who was very patient & happy to be asked and explain in more detail if I was unsure on anything. I also felt happier being with a female instructor. Learning to drive was much easier than I expected it to be and much more enjoyable than I thought it would be too. Leander’s teaching methods were so helpful and also the handout which I got given after every lesson was so easy to follow which allowed me to become a confident driver. My favourite part has been passing 1st time & giving me freedom. Learning to drive is one of the best things I have done! I definitely would recommend Leander as 3 people out of my family have passed first time within the last 3 yrs.”

Congratulations 🎉🎉 to Will Hodge of Sleaford on passing his practical driving test, ‼️with a clean sheet‼️, on Friday 22nd May 2026 in Grantham!! 🚗🚗🚗

On the ☀️hottest day☀️ of the year so far Will’s driving skills were on 🔥fire🔥 showing his examiner a faultless drive that included a parallel park. 👏👏👏

Will’s a keen 🏒ice hockey player🏒 and spends alot of time on trains going to and from ⬅️➡️ Nottingham for training and to watch and ply in matches, so his full licence is a welcome freedom ✅✅ from the waits and delays of public transport.

Well done Will, you’ve preserved through 💪💪 and have always come to lessons will to be challenged and learn, and your clean sheet is a testament to all your hard work 🙌🙌. Have fun and keep up the good work!! ⭐️⭐️

“I first contacted Leander as numerous previous learners having recommended her. When choosing my driving instructor, I hoped for someone patient and reassuring. I also wanted an instructor that would use efficient methods of teaching and encourage me throughout my learning journey. I was nervous to start learning to drive as passing my test just seemed so unachievable. Leander’s methods of teaching however were extremely thorough. Her mapped out lesson plans, handouts and encouraging feedback are what helped me to progress and pass my test first time. My favourite part of learning to drive has been that it was with Leander. She has made me feel so comfortable and made my learning journey so enjoyable. I don’t believe I would have felt this way with any other instructor. Advice I would give to anyone learning to drive is to put faith in your instructors teaching, be confident, and you’ll succeed.
I would fully recommend Leander as a driving instructor to anyone that asks. I am extremely grateful to her for preparing me to pass first time. I will miss our lessons together but I am so excited to be driving. A massive thanks.”

“I contacted Leander through Facebook to arrange my lessons. Feeling comfortable with my instructor was important to me as well as safety. Learning to drive was so much better than I was expecting, I felt less nervous. I found Leander’s teaching methods and materials very reliable and helpful. My favourite part of learning to drive has been the reassurance from my instructor. If you are thinking about learning to drive my advice would be keep calm and have Leander as your instructor
I would absolutely recommend!!! Leander was so kind and so helpful at each stage.”

Driving Instructor Sleaford

Congratulations 🎉🎉 to Rebecca Potter of Sleaford on her ⭐️first attempt⭐️ practical driving test pass on Tuesday 14th April 2026 in Grantham!! 🚗🚗🚗

During her course of learning to drive 👩‍🎓👩‍🎓Becca has taken up some private driving time in her own car to support her weekly lessons. In the debrief Becca’s examiner gave her 💕compliment💕 of how impressed he was with the accuracy of her parallel park 👏👏 - the driving test equivalent to a Paul Hollywood handshake🫲.

Becca starts an 💷accountancy💷 apprenticeship in a few months time so having the 💫independence💫 of her full licence and own set of wheels makes getting to and from her new workplace out of town 😍so much easier😍 than having to use public transport.

Nice work Becca👍👍, you held those nerves at bay and believed in your ability to get to your well deserved first time pass!!🙌🙌
