As I wave goodbye to Dan's (almost) finished restoration, so too do I wave goodbye to the workshop. With the lease ending and not being offered for re lease, myself and Neil (Carbon Motive) are moving out.
So, what's next? Well I have another very interesting Fabrication job on the go for a company named where we fabricate vehicles for movies. I've been doing this on and off for some time now in the lead up to this moving out period.
What's happening with RG? Well, initially I had decided to close up. April '24 was my 20th year in business, I've had a great run, I owe nobody anything, so in all it's been a great success. However, running a business, with all the increasing costs has become a little tiresome, hence I had decided to close up.
BUT.... I've realised it's not something I can just drop, it's been a huge part of my life, and many people also rely on me to look after their Evo's. With the way these cars have gone, restoration work, chassis rail work (which I do tons of), etc is a super busy part of the business, that I would like to continue. But in a more relaxed, and selective approach.
So, I am on the lookout for a small workshop for me to continue that sort of work, whilst Picture Vehicles will likely be the largest part of my work life moving forward.
So, should anyone know of any small workshops going, please reach out and let me know.
Apologies for being quiet, but I needed to let my work naturally quiten itself down to get to this point of moving out of the workshop. I will of course update more when I can.
Thanks to all the great customers I've had over the past 20 years, hope you all had a fab Christmas and new year ππΌ
