Track Weapon 💨 but missed some 💨💨💨

Ben's F87 just lacked some straight line go before, even though running our software the car didn't make top numbers, we had tired a few items but nothing changed..... A year and 28 track days later 😳 Ben needed some more power! (Especially with extra Aero!)

After a discussion it was decided that the best option would be our popular WGM Stage 1 baby hybrids, as we know these have a stock ISH turbo response, massive power range and have been over 600HP on quite a few S55's now.

After the turbos were installed we got straight to the Dyno work, where things didn't go to plan! We hit a brick wall at 570-575HP with a power curve that didn't follow our usual expectations. Changing to diagnostic avenues we came up with a plan.

Several items were checked, changed and exhaust camshaft alignment was carried out (as was ticking on cold start up) once the car hit the Dyno with few items resolved, new spark plugs and full tank of Shell V power, no software changes the car went straight to 600HP!

The set up, which again is to favour track maps.

Map 1 - 530HP 475LBFT
Map 2 - 570HP 550LBFT
Map 3 - 605HP 600LBFT

Along with the maps we also have open / closed exhaust flap control via the sports dials. No unplugging the valves needed! Another great feature we can offer on ECUTEK Racerom.

Now the car has the go to match the set up, probably not far from the perfect power / chassis for these for track goers?!

700HP 700LBFT G82 Track M4

We took this Mid pipe / CS Software S58 and gave it the power it deserved!

The car was already quick, and didn't really need too much more .....but if it's available, why not!

We carried out a DME unlock via Autotuner. Then MHD+ platform was applied.

We tested the car on arrival which produced 540HP / 525LBFT

MHD OTS map made 625HP / 600LBFT

We carried out our custom tuning, which resulted in.

Map 3- 575HP 595LBFT approximately 20-30HP/LBFT over Stock CS maps results

Map 2 - 665HP 600LBFT, ideal track map with capped torque, but power ramping up in the higher rpm

Map 1 - 700HP 700LBFT, All out fun map

We did suffer some traction issues with this set up on the Dyno, so real world numbers could be slightly higher.

700HP 💨 ...... Well almost!

We had this Isle of man green G80 in earlier this year for our WGM Stage 1+ tuning package, plus a couple of nice upgrades.

After our original booking we limited the torque to keep the car manageable being a RWD model, however some time had passed and some more power was needed! We turned up the boost to see gains everywhere (although this is still less than we'd push an xDrive model)

The car used to make 690HP with 625LBFT. Now the car produces 695HP but with 675LBFT, seeing a 50LBFT across most the rev range.

If you are looking for a tuning package on your G8x car, we can offer something simple like this for a reasonable cost!

The only mods are a 4" Milltek mid pipe, ECUTEK Racerom, custom tuning and xHP gearbox software!

666.6! The Devil 👿

We took this WGM Stage 1+ M2 Competition from a previous owner, and gave the new owner Stage 3 upgrades 👌

We carried out the following work
🔹WGM Stage 2 700 Turbos
🔹Airtec High flow intake pipes
🔹Sports Catted downpipes
🔹Capristo Exhaust system
🔹 ECUTEK Racerom map tweak

We are now seeing 666HP and 650LBFT on the highest map, which is pretty good considering this set up has 2 pairs of sports cats installed!

The car certainly has the devil's bark now with it's new exhaust system with the Valves open.

The ECUTEK Racerom platform latest version from us also includes

We had this rare combo Tanzanite Blue with Tan interior in for the following tasks, after some diagnosis work was carried out.

We had this F82 in for the following work.

As these are getting older, and higher mileage we do recommend some of the common items to be replaced while carrying out the crank hub task, mainly to save labour, fir example to replace the timing chain at a later date you have to remove the crank hub again

BMW F10 M5 in for maintenance tasks!

After being tuned to 700HP with our software upgrades, we carried out some preventative maintenance work on this S63 engine, which included

🔹Bosch Injectors
🔹Bosch coils
🔹NGK Spark plugs

Once the injectors were installed, the small injection compensation values were updated also. Ready for some trouble free miles 🙏

F82 M4 in for our WGM Baby hybrid turbos, these Stage 1 Turbos put out typically 590-610HP and over 600LBFT on an otherwise Stage 2 car.

For this visit we installed do88 Induction kit, supplied downpipes and our turbos.

The final result on ECUTEK Racerom with our latest version was 595HP with 630LBFT, there was a small amount of BP97 in the tank, which we believe stopped this hitting the magic 600HP number! But being 1% off target, it's all good 👍

Unfortunately the customer didn't like the sound of the supplied catless downpipes, we've advised now - but for others we always recommend sports cats to ensure a pleasant time is kept for the S55 engine (this was fitted with an equal length exhaust system)

Nice to see a returning car with a new customer traveling down from the North 👋

WGM Stage 3 ~ 660HP in for a few maintenance jobs!

We supposed and fitted a mishomoto DCT upgraded oil cooler, and carried out a Major DCT Service also.

Minor CBS Service also carried out to ensure everything is in top condition.
