G87 Track build.... Recaro Pole position + Half cage!

Over the last few months we've had this M2 in for some tasty upgrades, this visit was the final upgrade of the major upgrades we had planned!

We first saw the car after the stock cats failed (had a tuning box and used on track)

Parts one saw the power upgrade - 700HP

🔹Mmx Dual mount / cV boot covers

Parts two saw the handling upgrades
🔹Nitron R3 Coilovers

Parts three saw the Interior changes
🔹Recaro Pole position bucket seat
🔹SW cages half cage + seat cover
🔹6 point harness
🔹Millway Uniballs offset Camber (more camber needed)
🔹Ferodo DS3.12 pads F/R

F82 Track now back on the road after an engine failure.

Unfortunately this S55 suffered a bottom end failure. Rather than stripping to rebuild which is costly and time consuming we installed a used engine.

A low mileage clean engine was used, to ensure no issues occurred we replaced the bottom end bearings, carried out exhaust camshaft alignment and replaced the required gaskets.

All ancillaries were swapped over, again new gaskets and seals where required, and the engine was built up / installed with a new engine oil cooler.

340i in for Forged pistons after Piston 6 failure.

Unfortunately this car suffered a piston failure with cracked side of the piston above the wrist pin area, which is the common weak point on cylinder 6.

After a diagnosis was carried out, we ran through options. To which we ended up with:

🔹JE forged Pistons
🔹Stem seal replacement
🔹Bosch revised injectors

The engine was run in on the Dyno, oil changed, road run in, with a final oil change and inspection before handing back over to the customer for the final running in period.

A couple of M2 Competitions in for our S55 exhaust camshaft alignment service.

Resolving the common unhealthy sounding tap from the top end.

A simple realignment with genuine BMW tools resolved this issue. A new Genuine Rocker cover gasket is installed, along with new injector teflon seals and injector well gaskets.

BMW M2 OG now pushing 525HP 570LBFT 💨

This M2 is now finally finished! A few issues and set backs along the way, but we got there in the end.

We carried out

🔹GFB DV+
🔹3.5 bar map sensor
🔹Tuning over MHD

M2 track car in for a host of maintenance work.

Originally the car was dropped off for maintenance service and brakes. After an inspection the lift grew much bigger!

Failed rear uniballs, bottomed out diff sump, diff bushes with play in, trims cracked, worn brakes etc!

We carried out:
🔹Millway Diff lift kit
🔹Millway rear arm uniballs
🔹Genuine Diff pan
🔹Diff nose seal replacement
🔹major CBS Service
🔹Replacement BTTC discs PFC pads
🔹Replaced broken arches clips / trims
🔹Map update to latest Racerom version

G20 M340D in for an interim unofficial Oil/ service

And at 60k miles our ZF8 Gearbox service
Genuine hybrid ZF8 sump and ZF8 fluid used.

We managed to squeeze out 342HP with 364LBFT on this Facelift B48 manual pocket rocket!

M140i in for Stage 2+ tuning

On arrival on the old stage 2+ map produced 452HP / 508LBFT

After our custom tuning we saw 478HP / 523LBFT. Seeing perfect Stage 2+ average numbers.
