Just saying "thank you" doesnt do it justice. So here is potted history with a few of the highlights, and for our success we thank you all.
I started Fast Trak in April 1994 with one car and a 300 sq feet rented office. Then I added a second office and started our bike school. Five years later Serena came to Fast Trak to learn to ride a bike,and we have kept her ever since. WIthout the help and support of Serena we would probably still have four bikes and an Astra with dual controls.
Along the way these are just a very small number of what we have achieved.
The first bike school to be approved by the DVSA to offer advanced instructor courses.
5000 learners and well over 200 instructors have become qualified through us.
We have continually expanded into the whole spectrum of transport training. We have issued nearly 10,000 Driver CPC training certifcates. We have trained advanced instructors in Milton Keynes, Scotland, London, Australia, Dubia. We have trained on the Nurburgring and we raised £22,000 for Hope House by riding to the Arctic Circle. We have written two books. We have been travelling to the USA for 37 years.
We have for sixteen years had our own 5,000 sq feet training offices with our own American style Diner which receives rave reviews very regularly. We taught the second biggest Police Force six bike instructors. We taught West Mids Fire and Rescue service when they aquired a motorbike and needed people with blue light and high speed experience to teach them.
We have been accredited by the Minstry of Defence and we we were the preferred service provider for one company with 2,500 drivers, We set up driving schools in Barnsley, Kent and Scotland. There are Fast Traks in Ayr, London, Elgin and of course HQ here in Shrewsbury. We provide car training for a company with 500 drivers and lorry training for a company with 180 trucks.
Last year after we had visited Top Gun in the states for the fifth time, we received an invite to visit the United States Nevada Senate where they presented us, at the live Senate, with a Certificate and award for services to law enforcement, road safety and charities, here and in the USA. We have great friends, one in particular over there.
The list goes on and on. I have missed so much off our list of achievements and I apologise if I am missed things which are relevent to you. But let me finish with this little story. Some time ago I was working for a Chief Executive Officer of a mega company and I asked him what he actually did to be so successful. His exact words were "I surround myself with people who I can work with, who I respect and who are really good at what they do" He said "I dont actually run the company, the people I bring in do that"
I cant name everyone who have built us into what we are today, I have mentioned Serena, but of course there are others. I have to mention Marie as she is my daughter and feeds the 5,000. I mention Andy because he is loyal and mega efficient and is our longest serving instructor, but I dont have room to mention everyone and everything. I wish I had the room and time, I would mention one group though.

In 1993, Essential Driver Training and its motorcycle division Fast Trak was opened in a tiny two room craft centre in the north of Shrewsbury. Almost thirty years later we are still going from strength to strength.
