We are pleased to announce that a second aircraft is joining the club fleet.
The new addition is a PA-28 Cherokee 140 fitted with a newly installed 160 hp engine. As the engine is brand new, it will require a running-in period for the first 25 hours. During this time, the aircraft will not be available for circuit training, but members are encouraged to undertake longer flights to help complete the running-in process.
The aircraft has also received a fresh paint scheme and is equipped with Garmin GNS avionics, making it suitable for IFR operations.
As this Cherokee is fitted with a slab wing, members who do not already have experience on type will be required to complete a short check ride before flying it solo.
We expect the aircraft to join G-NIKE at the end of this month—perfect timing to make the most of the excellent flying weather we are currently enjoying.
We look forward to seeing members take advantage of this exciting new addition to the fleet.
