🚨 From a hole in the floor to a fully approved MOT bay! 🚨

The top photo was taken in November 2025 when the groundwork had just begun. The bottom photo was taken the day DVSA signed us off last week!

We're incredibly pleased to announce that TJD Automotive is now officially carrying out both Class 4 and Class 7 MOTs in house.

This has been a huge project behind the scenes, and seeing it go from a vision to a fully operational MOT bay is something we're really proud of.

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Adrian Reynard.

For anyone who isn’t into motorsport, Adrian is the founder of Reynard Racing Cars and one of the biggest names in racing car engineering. His cars went on to win championships all over the world and helped shape modern motorsport as we know it.

What’s even more incredible is that he’s still pushing boundaries today, recently setting a new record at 192mph on a 250cc machine.

The reason this meeting was particularly special to us is that Adrian had heard about our journey with TJD Automotive and wanted to meet the team here. As someone who built a hugely successful engineering business himself, it was fascinating to hear his thoughts and experiences.

There was also a lovely family connection. Tom’s granny and Adrian knew each other many years ago, and another family member originally designed the famous Reynard fox logo back in the 70s.

As a family business with a genuine passion for engineering and motorsport, it was a real privilege to spend time with someone who has achieved so much, yet was so generous with his time.

A genuinely fascinating conversation and a reminder that great engineering, attention to detail and a willingness to do things differently can take you a very long way. 🏁
