Half an hour brings you to Ringstead Bay’s dramatic cliffs. About 30 minutes takes you to Weymouth’s golden sands and lively promenade. Just under an hour is Burton Bradstock for fossil hunting and cliff-top views. Around 40 minutes you’ll find West Bay’s harbour and Broadchurch filming spots.

🌧️ RAIN! ACTUAL RAIN! 🌧️😂
It's raining at Cherry Cottage CL this morning — and honestly, we've never been so pleased to see it!
After weeks of sunshine, the grass has gone decidedly brown and crispy, so this morning's rain is a very welcome sight. 🌱🌾
The hay meadow, hedgerows and surrounding countryside have been crying out for a drink, and we're sure the grass is breathing a huge sigh of relief!
💧 No complaints from us today!
Although we love the sunshine, there's something rather lovely about waking up to the sound of rain on the caravan roof — especially when you know the countryside desperately needs it.
And let's face it... after such a long, hot summer, Dorset could definitely do with a good soaking! ☔🌿
