Due to me being stuck on holiday, thanks to the atc computer going faulty, the next few days might be a bit hit and miss, my team will work as hard as they can to get the work done but there will be jobs that do not get started and or finished. Please bare with us, I do not know yet when I will be back, hopefully very late tomorrow, but as thousands of others are in the same position I don't know.

We are currently looking for a trained technician or mot tester and an apprentice technician.

Trained technician
Must be competent in all aspects of the job
Have a full UK driving licence with less than 6 points.
Be able to work well as part of a team and also independently.
Work in a busy workshop on all makes and models.
Most of all be friendly and confident in their role.
Mot trained preferable but I'm willing to train
No weekends, over time available.
Salary dependant on experience £30-40k

Mot tester
Must have class 4 mot licence.
Must be a responsible individual who will work methodically using the class 4 atl test lane provided.
Communicate well within the workshop.
Would prefer a candidate that's willing to go on the tools in between tests or after tests, but sometimes due to work load this will not be possible.
Willing to either pay salary or per test.

Apprentice
Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn. Full training will be given, 4 days practical work, 1 day theory at college.
Ideally looking for school leaver but 17/18 year old with clean driving licence would be accommodated.
Wages would be reviewed every 3 months in 1st year and every 6 months in year 2 then annually. Starting salary is above minimum wage.

When your 'Engine Management Light' illuminates its a good idea to get it diagnosed. However due to the vastly technologised nature of modern day vehicles. It is not always possible to give a definitive precise resolution instantly.

This warning can illuminate for many reasons. A quick 5 minute read of the codes is not the answer. We would like to ask our customers to consider this when contacting us. Making a booking gives us more time to do a thorough investigation and give you the answers you need.

Due to an ever increasing work load we are looking for a skilled motor vehicle technician and or class 4 MOT tester. Candidates should be honest, hard working and take pride in their work. They must be able to work both independently and as part of the team.

We are a small independent family run garage, based in Shefford, Bedfordshire.

We work 5 days a week. Monday to Friday.

Salary is dependent on experience and skills, anywhere between £28-£36k annually. We offer a favourable quarterly bonus scheme, which will be discussed on interview.

We are open, business as usual.
If you're attempting to get to us by car the only access on Hitchin Road is from Shefford side. This will be in place until further notice. If the road is blocked by a truck please ask a roadworker for access to us. The road is closed from the top of the hill (bypass side) with no access. Thank you for you patience.
