From today, there will be more changes for learner drivers.

Only you can book or manage your car driving test. This means your driving instructor won’t be allowed to book it for you.

Theres been a lot of controversy around the DVSAs decision to make these changes.

Personally it won’t make a difference to how I manage practical test bookings however a lot of instructors work differently.

Everyone make yourselves aware of these new changes and ask questions if you have any questions🚘🩶

We’ve made this change to:

Clampdown on test reselling and exploitation by third parties ⛔

Make sure tests are accessible only to learners 🔐

Provide a fairer booking system ✅

I’m absolutely delighted to say that Isabel has passed her practical driving test today, FIRST TIME with only 1 minor fault! What an incredible achievement and a real credit to all her hard work, focus, and dedication throughout her lessons.

We’re putting learners in control of their car driving test bookings 🚘

If you’ve got a booking or you’ll be looking for a test soon, make a note of these dates 📅

31 March 2026 – only 2 changes can be made to a booking

12 May 2026 – only learners are allowed to book a test and make changes

9 June 2026 – learners can move their booked test only to nearby centres

By changing who can book car and change driving tests, we’re aiming to reduce the re-selling of driving tests, giving the power back to learners 💪

Please read and pay attention!!!

The DVSA have made some changes to the way driving tests are booked and managed.

• only 2 changes can be made to a booking

• only LEARNERS are allowed to book a test and make changes

• when changing the test it can only be moved to nearby centres.

This should ultimately help to reduce the waiting time for practical driving tests.
