The smile on my face when a pupil nails a manoeuvre 😁👌

This is a perfect video to demonstrate one of the driving test manoeuvres......the dreaded PARALLEL PARKING.

The main thing the examiner will be observing here is safety........so did the driver demonstrate good control of the vehicle and effective observations.

What most drivers get wrong with a manoeuvre like this is going too fast. While corrections are allowed on the test, this is a perfect example on how if you control the speed and take your time, the manoeuvre can be completed very accurately and in one movement. Controlling speed and frequent pauses also gives the driver time to carry out effective observations while completing the move.

If this driver can repeat this on their upcoming practical test the examiner will be very pleased 👏👏

⭐STAR OF THE WEEK⭐

So everyone has done amazing this past week or so in adapting to my new car, none more so than Vikki, who had just a few days to get used to it before taking on the practical driving test.

Vikki's hard work paid off massively as they christened the new car with hopefully the first of many passes. Just the 2 faults for Vikki, excellent driving 👊👌

As Vikki is now no longer a learner, I'm going to select someone else for star of the week (sorry Vikki 😂), someone who I have been so impressed with recently.

Well done to Max 👏👏.....who this week once again showed how much they have improved with their overall understanding, control, and general confidence behind the wheel.
After spending the early lessons struggling for confidence around other traffic, we have slowly been stepping things up and this week we were able to drive a longer route including roundabouts and around much more busy traffic.

Keep up the excellent work Max, well done 👏👏

Huge congratulations to Vikki Haines, who PASSED her test today at Handsworth, 1ST ATTEMPT with just the 2 driver faults 👏👏

What an excellent result, Vikki only had a few days to practise in this car before today, and she smashed it 👊.....big thanks to Duane for the assist last week when I had car trouble.

Sorry for making it extra stressful the last few weeks Vikki, but we got there in the end, very proud of you so well deserved.
I will certainly miss telling you off on a Monday morning, it's been a pleasure.

P.S. Don't forget to put on your correct shoes when going driving......also don't be Doris 🙈😉

LETS TRY THIS AGAIN......AGAIN!!! 🙈
NEW CAR & WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS!!

After reliability concerns and issues with my previous car(s) (let's not even mention that red MG......let's just call that a bad dream 🙄), I've finally settled on a new training vehicle.

Apologies and a big thank you to all my pupils for your patience. After lots of research and countless car viewings, marketing manager Marty pulled rank and told Poppa to get things moving otherwise he wouldn't receive his bonus (lots of treats 🐶🍪)
......Marty was the first to test out the new car, and after dual controls were fitted today he has given it the seal of approval for learner drivers 👌

Huge congratulations to Owen Senior this afternoon, 1st time pass at Handsworth with just 3 faults.

A huge thank you to Duane of , offering his assistance to help us out of a pickle with my car experiencing untimely technical issues today.

Owen has put in so much work to be prepared for this and then had just an hour to practise in this car before attempting his test. Sorry to make it extra stressful for you Owen.......WHAT A RESULT, SMASHED IT!! 👊👊

NEW CAR (again 🙄) is ready to go 👌

As much as I & my pupils did love the Jeep for a short time (I will miss standing out in the bright yellow), it was time to say goodbye today due to reliability concerns.
I'm sure everyone will love it's replacement 🤩

P.S the cuddly teddy bear needs a name, any suggestions?
