1,800 miles, the Tour de France, and a boot full of champagne. 🚐

A huge thank you to our member Judith for sharing the highlights from her trip through France, following the world's biggest cycling race in her Orange Camper.

As the adventure wound down, Judith and her travelling companion made a final stop in the Champagne region. They stocked up at Carrefour, parked up at a local champagne house, worked their way through a tasting of seven glasses between them, and (of course) couldn't leave without a few bottles for home. 🍾

Then came the perfect campervan evening: fresh bread, local meats, cheese and a chilled bottle from the camper fridge, before an early night.

The next morning it was pack-up time, carefully finding space for all that champagne, a quick stop at a service point, and on to the Channel Shuttle. Arriving early paid off too, as they were offered an earlier crossing at no extra cost and made it home to South Yorkshire even sooner.

The final stats say it all:
🚐 500 miles in the UK
🚐 1,300 miles across France
✅ Not a single issue along the way

Judith joked she's happy to add up the fuel and tolls... just not the wine bill. 🍷

From a world-famous bike race to hidden gems, local food and very good wine, this is exactly what campervan life is all about.

It's one of the questions we get asked most - so Richard put it to the test.

While packing our High Roof Trouvaille with the ATEK roof for the Orange Campers Campout, he loaded in everything for a weekend away. The answer? A definite YES.
