More mqb madness going down last week we had this s3 in for a wheel spin issue it went to Vw 2 weeks prior for a full health check and they did the haldex service unfortunately they don’t remove the haldex pump and clean the filter basket out so the wheel spin issue was still there after the customer paid, the customer came to us for some advice we removed the pump cleaned the basket and the rear haldex coupler out along with a new fluid flush and adaptions ran and the wheel spin problems were gone, also while it was here we did an inspection of the vehicle like we do to all the cars that are present on our ramp and we noticed the water pump had been leaking for some time, clearly Vw didn’t see this, so we put a new one on along with the thermostat and plastic coupler.

Last but not least the owner wanted a bit more noise so we installed a downpipe all in the afternoon customer collected same day.

Mercades a250 in for the transfer box leak sorting new kit ordered from germany so it was with us for 3 days but we only use genuine parts so worth the wait. While it was in we did the dreaded coolant temp sensor and a fresh fluid flush.

As you know the mqb platform is our speciality, we had this mk7 golf R come to us from Essex for a few bolt Ons and a cam fault, so the car was scanned and logged the car was complaining about correlation issues the code wouldn’t clear we suspected the cam magnets and oil strainers to be at fault we swapped these out for genuine Vw parts and the code cleared.

now on to the fun stuff we installed a Scorpion downpipe stage 2 plugs, new cotton r600 air filter, replaced the shoddy boost tap and vac line with a proper apr one along with a Wagner stage 3 intercooler and a fresh oil and rear haldex oil change this was then sent to for stage 2 ✌🏻

One of our regular customers brought in this Sleeper 3.2 caddy as it randomly failed to start.

Our skilled engineer performed extensive testing and traced the fault to the engine ECU.

The ECU was removed from the vehicle and reworked by our in house electronic engineer.
It was then reassembled and extensively tested before being reinstalled in the vehicle.
