Just a reminder that during this extremely hot weather the poor old Caravan fridge will find it very hard to keep your food cool!
With daytime temperatures likely to exceed the normal expected working temperatures for the fridge most 3 way fridges are rated to work in between 7 and 30 degrees Celsius!
Try not to open the fridge door more than absolutely necessary during the day don’t turn the fridge right up this just creates more heat in the back of the fridge keep the fridge vents clear of obstructions you can take the vents off to create more air flow as long as it doesn’t poor down with rain! if the fridge vents are inside the awning open the side panels. if possible move the caravan to a more shaded location keep awning panels open at night when it’s cooler allow as much air circulation as possible there are fan kits that can be added to the back of the fridge to increase the airflow. If the fridge isn’t cooling down in the daytime please don’t expect us to create miracles at the first attempt it might be wise to leave the fridge running overnight and see if it cools then rather than just calling us out straight away!
