This man's 160 TF had a full engine and cylinder head rebuild about 18 months ago by someone. All that effort and expense to leave one of the Vvc unit bolts loose it eventually rattled out and its final destination was to jam the water pump, snap the cam belt and bend 12 valves. I got it all repaired and him back on the road yesterday.

Today was this lotus with a K series engine, it's problem was an annoying tap tap from a hydraulic lifter, and the man needs to sell it, so after removal of the cam carrier and camshafts 2 lifters had just sunk in the head with no action, set of new lifters installed and all sounded perfect.

Your misfire isn't a bad spark plug or head gasket failure, sometime its something else.
