So, every now and then I like to make sure that I am offering my customers value for money. I believe that if you charge for a job and you are happy with what you recieve and the customer is happy with what they pay then everyone is a winner, no need to charge over inflated prices.
I recently fitted a rear exhaust section to a 2015 Corsa and decided to check my prices against 2 of the UKs biggest multinational tyre and exhaust centres, both of which are located in Galashiels.
I wont name them, instead i will call them company A and company K 🤣🤣.
Below is a price comparison. Exhausts all supplied from the same supplier.
(Percentage in brackets is Blue Light Card discount offered price shown is before discount applied)

Hoskins Autocare £105 (20%)
Company A. £180 (up to 15%)
Company K. £205 (10%)

Moral of the story? Support your local independent garages, we are alot more competitively priced than the bigger multinational outfits.

If your car or van is fitted with air conditioning, you’ll know the comfort it can bring in maintaining a cool temperature when driving during the warmer months of the year.

However, you may not be aware that just like other components of your vehicle, your air conditioning system also requires regular servicing to make sure it is clean and operating at optimum efficiency.

At Hoskins Autocare we recommend having your vehicle's air conditioning checked and re-gassed every two years. In addition to standard re-gassing, we also offer repairs on faulty air conditioning systems & anti bacterial cleaning.

We can re-gas both R134a & 1234YF (vehicles 2016 on) .

Not posted anything for a while but thought this was worth posting.
Customer brought their van in complaining it was making a noise.
Cant believe this was being driven on the road!🙈
