Be cautious of people wanting to teach in your own car although the cost maybe less and that appealing.
You have no security for your child and said person behaviour against dvsa code of conduct.

We as instructors have to go through a lot to be approved by the dvsa. Including a detailed background check.

I’ve recently had a pupil who was taught by someone who claimed their badge had run out so was then teaching them in their own car, this person made rude comments and was very inappropriate. It’s since become apparent my pupil isn’t the only one that’s had inappropriate behaviour from a person teaching them in their own cars.

While we appreciate it’s hard to find an instructor currently I’d wonder why an “instructor” wanted to teach in a pupils own vehicle whilst giving out very little personal information! Or background.

It’s against the law to take payment for a lesson without displaying an upto date badge being an ADI /PDI on the dvsa records.
