Airbag light flashing? Here’s what it means
Your airbag warning light is part of your vehicle’s safety system, also known as the SRS system. This system helps monitor airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners.
If the light keeps flashing, stays on, or comes back after a reset, it means the vehicle has detected a fault. This should always be checked properly, as the safety system may not work as intended in an accident.
Common causes can include:
• Faulty seatbelt sensors
• Wiring or connector issues under the seats
• Clock spring faults behind the steering wheel
• Airbag control module faults
• Low battery voltage triggering a fault code
Why a reset isn’t always enough:
A reset may clear the warning light temporarily, but if the problem is still there, the light will return. Diagnostic equipment helps identify where the fault is coming from, so the correct repair can be carried out.
We use the latest diagnostic equipment for cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles.
