My new bench set up is starting to earn it's keep a bit now with the first few jobs rolling off it. Not literally rolling off it though. A Twin Crankshaft assembled and trued up, a pair of Cylinder M**fs fitted with new plus 30 O/D Liners, a new G2 plate fitted with new Bearings and G38 bush, a Cylinder M**f and Liner separated to check the interference fit and a front Cylinder Head ready to be stripped out for assessment. Not touched the Magneto parts yet. They are all Lucas K2F from BSA A10's and they all need the outer bearing races removing before they go off for vapour blasting along with about a dozen other K2F bodies that have already had the Bearing Races removed.

I've been looking for a bit more bench space for a while now. This wall in the workshop was fully racked out floor to ceiling so I outed all the racking and I've just finished setting it up like this. My press went in first followed by the bench on the left which I made many years ago and which has occupied space in the middle of the workshop floor for several years. I put my oven in the middle and built the extra bench space I had been looking for over the top of it including the narrow rack to the right of the oven. It was all done using bits of Steel Angle, Plate for the bench top and 3/4" plywood that has been kicking about for years so all it cost me was a few welding rods. I also knocked up the wall rack on the left and the wooded battens on the wall will support two more racks when I get round to making them. I'm hoping to find time to do this between Christmas and the new year when I'm supposed to be enjoying myself. Oh wait a minute I will be enjoying myself doing this. I guess I should also be thinking about filling in the cracks in the floor while I'm at it.

A replica Egli Vincent frame and swinging arm from a small batch that I commissioned some years back. I'm considering getting some more made next year, possibly even doing them in house. It probably won't be until mid year though as I have another big project starting to come together and I'm hoping to be able to start posting about that in the new year.

Some photo's of a Vincent Black Shadow rebuild I did quite a few years ago. They were taken on the day the bike went back to its owner, fellow local VOC member and good friend of mine Paul. The bike came to me following an accident Paul had whilst riding to our annual October VOC club intersection meeting at Bawtry. It was a low speed accident when a car pulled out on Paul as he was entering the Bawtry 30MPH limit and knocked him off his bike. No really serious damage done but quite a lot of scratches, scrapes and dents etc. Paul has since passed away (RIP my friend) and the bike is now owned by a fellow local VOC member Ben. I think It's really good that the bike stayed local as Paul had owned it for many years and had originally purchased it from VOC member George Petch of Grimsby in the days when George was dabbling in Vincent's before he got seriously involved with modern bikes as George Petch Wheels of Grimsby. (Main Honda and Suzuki dealer). George has also passed away now. Sadly another friend lost. RIP George.

A pair of new Vincent Twin Crankcases which have been fitted out with Spindles, Oil Pump, Main Bearings and Gearbox Bearings. The crank has previously been fitted and centred up. Now it's time for final assembly and the cases closed. If you need any Crankcase or Crankshaft reclaim work doing please get in touch.

This is my new, and very expensive, Sunnen Honing Mandrel for Vincent Big end Eyes. Over £700.00 and a four month wait for it to arrive from the States due to material supply problems over there. Still its here now and will be put to good use on a small backlog of Conrods. If you need any Crankshaft rebuild work doing please get in touch.
