When we diagnose a fault, we don’t just read an error code, change a part, and hope for the best.
We look for the root cause.
This throttle body is a great example.
The car was showing several fault codes from different sensors, which didn't point directly at the throttle body.
But with extra time, experience, and a good ear, our technician noticed something wasn’t quite right when the car switched off.
After further investigation, he found the teeth inside the throttle body had worn down, meaning the valve wasn’t always opening and closing properly.
That meant we could fix the actual problem, instead of replacing a list of parts the sensors were flagging.
A better diagnosis. Meaning a better repair and better value for the customer.
