First week back after my holiday and its been a busy one. Audi Q7 in to find why the aircon doesn’t work found one of the pipes has blown the flexy from the hard pipe. New one on order from France of all places. Stripped down a Audi A4 head ready for skimming and new valves, rockers etc. VW Caddy in for a service with genuine VW parts, a rear caliper as it was leaking and rear shock absorbers. Then bled the whole brake system with fresh fluid. Audi A6 in for rear discs and pads and new sliders. My mk2 Golf had a full service including dizzy cap, rotor arm, plugs, etc and now runs a lot better. A Audi A3 in for a full service with genuine Audi service parts. Also had a few non vag jobs in belonging to customers who also have vag cars i look after.

Had another day on the VW Tiguan R audio today, we fitted the front mids and tweeters in the A pillars. Fitted all the conversion wiring to feed the amp while retaining the factory entertainment unit. Then wired the amp up in it’s position under the passenger seat. Tomorrow we will be doing the amplified sub box and wiring and hopefully rear door speakers. Also had a hour before i left to assemble some parts for my Mk2 Golf, its going 5 stud hubs with bigger brakes, and some old school Borbet A wheels.

Saturday afternoon i went into work to have a few hours on my own car (mk2 Golf). Fitted new wheel bearings and new hub flanges into new hubs ready for the suspension refresh/upgrade. Then made a retro stealth shelf with Pioneer 6x9’s as two little door speakers just wernt cutting it. Today (Monday) was the start of a big audio job on a VW Tiguan R, we started with sound deadening all 4 doors and fitting the upgraded speaker mounts and Audison speakers. Its back Wednesday for the next part of the install. Had a hour on the Q5 that has running issues and then fitted a new washer pump to my van. Getting it ready for holidays next week

Had a Audi A7 in today to check for timing chain wear and some diagnostic time to find the rough running issues. Then had a Audi TT in for a passenger side window regulator replacement, followed by a Volkswagen Golf in for a rear wheel bearing and abs sensor. Finished up with putting a timing belt kit on my A4 to see how much damage the snapped belt caused, it was only a year and a half since it was replaced so i have warranty on it through Parkers so might rebuild it if they are paying.

Wednesday we had in a Audi A4 for a rear door catch, but was sent the wrong part so that will be back another day for the correct part to be fitted. Then had a Audi Q5 in for a replacement intercooler as the old one was falling apart. At the end of the day i stopped late to fit some new rear lights and a exhaust back box to my VW Golf mk2. Then today we had in the Skoda Roomster for rear parking sensors and a Audi SQ5 for a waterpump. Which means front bumper removed, front panel unbolted and tipped forward for access.

Monday i finally finished the welding on the van, after hours of cutting to remove all the rot. Then stripped down the engine on my A4 to check out what had actually caused the cambelt to fail. The water pump had leaked and because i hadnt used the car for a week im guessing the coolant had corroded the belt. It was only swapped in February 2025 so i have warranty on it, so we shall see what happens. Tuesday had a Skoda Roomster in for front and rear dash cam hard wiring, a mic for the stereo fitting and a door catch replacement.
