New week, new tool. This time something from the aircraft industry, 50mm diameter air operated plunge saw. Planing to use it primarily for long straight ‘on car’ cuts or any other cut where you want both edges perfectly straight. Blade is only 1mm so mig brazing panels back in place is possible, bonus points for no sparks or cutting disc dust.

Long time ago my unit had mezzanine floor that was removed around 2007 but stayed on VOA records. As a result of recent Retable Value revaluation said 50 square meters extra put me over the small business rates relief threshold. In 3 years time that would be nearly £5k per year just for the sake of running a business. After opening check case with VOA mid March, just received new bill and we’re back on track. Our hourly rate can remain at current level for now.

Looks nearly ready but it is still a lot of time to get these doors finished. Final fettle, epoxy inside, skin line up, tack it in place , close the bottom edges , and seam weld most likely with CuSi3 wire.
