For sale - Austin Healey 3000 MkIII BJ8 – Early Phase 2
A rare UK home-market, right-hand-drive example, built in May 1964 and originally supplied to the Donald Healey Motor Company.
This exceptional Healey has covered fewer than 30,000 miles from new. Between 2008 and 2010, it underwent a comprehensive body restoration and repaint, and more recently has benefited from a full engine rebuild and performance upgrade by a Healey specialist, with fewer than 500 miles covered since completion.
Upgrades and recent works include:

Alloy cylinder head
Fast-flow inlet manifold
Rear-exit sports exhaust
Electric cooling fan
Alternator upgrade
Full suspension overhaul
New wiring loom

Finished in striking Colorado Red with black trim, a black hood and matching black tonneau cover, the car is equipped with overdrive, new black wire wheels and leather sports seats.

A comprehensive history file accompanies the car, together with its original green logbook.

Please note that the registration number 12 JHA is not included in the sale. The car will instead be supplied with its original Warwick registration, AUE 22B.

The car will be supplied fully serviced and with a new MOT, ready for its next owner to enjoy.

We’re thrilled to have found this genuine Southern California black plate barn-find Austin Healey 3000 Mk III Phase 2.

An incredibly original, unmolested example showing just 58,000 miles, this Healey was originally sold by Ken Keegan Motors in Los Gatos, California.
Without doubt, this is the best restoration project we’ve come across in over 20 years.
Over the coming months, we’ll be carrying out a full, nut-and-bolt restoration to return this remarkable car to showroom condition.
