It's a sad day at Autodiesel, as Malcolm hangs up his overalls for the final time....

Malc's been here since the start, having worked here when we were Trenham's Garage, before Andy came along and Autodiesel Ltd was born. He has played a huge part in teaching me and Matty the skills required to enable us to carry the business forward. Even after stepping into semi-retirement a few years ago, he continued to be a fountain of knowledge and a key part of the team. It's fair to say neither us or the garage would be where we are today without him.

Malcolm, on behalf of me, Matty and all the team, thank you for everything you have done for us over the years. We sincerely hope you enjoy your retirement, you will most definitely be missed!

WE'RE HIRING!!

Due to retirement, we are looking for an experienced technician to join our team in our busy workshop. Job role will include servicing and general vehicle repairs/maintenance, along with some diagnostic work.

The candidate must be fully qualified, and able to work independently. Experience is essential, and an MOT testers licence would be a bonus but not essential.

That's a wrap for 2025!! We are now closed until January 5th to enjoy a well earned break - and quite possibly too much food and drink 😂

And that's (almost) a wrap for 2024!!

We'll be in for a few hours in the morning to tie up a few loose ends, then it's time for a well earned break. 2024 has definitely thrown us a few challenges, so it's time to rest and recharge, ready to see what 2025 has in store for us.

As always, we'd like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support, without you we wouldn't be here doing what we do, and we wish you all a very 🌲 Merry Christmas 🌲and all the best for the new year!

WE'RE HIRING!!!

After 15 years, our lovely receptionist Taz is moving on to pastures new, we will all be very sad to see her go, as I'm sure a lot of our customers will be too! Over the years she has become more like family than a work colleague, and there's not a lot she doesn't know about keeping our workshop running and our customers happy. She will definitely be missed by many!

So this means we now have the mammoth task of finding somebody to fill this position and join our family run business. The position is permanent and full time, working Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30. Previous experience in the motor trade is desirable, however training can be given for the right candidate.

The job role will include greeting customers, taking bookings, answering the phone, ordering parts, quotes/estimates, invoicing, taking payments etc.

Salary to be discussed dependent on experience etc.
22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Company pension scheme.

Wishing all our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!!

We are having a well earned break now, and will be back open on 2nd January.

2023 has been a big year for us. As most of you will probably know by now, Me (Adam) and Matty took over the business in September, and we would like to take this time to thank Andy for all he has done for us over the years, and for giving us the fantastic opportunity to continue to run this business which has grown and grown since he started it back in 2006. He has semi-retired now, but will be continuing to work part time in the diesel shop doing what he does best.

This year has been our busiest year to date, and we look forward to welcoming you all back through our doors in 2024 🙂

We recently had this absolute beauty of a MK4 Transit camper 2.5td in for a Bosch VE conversion. Those of you that know your old transits will know the Lucas Epic pump is trouble for several reasons! In this case it had a very bad fuel leak. We supplied and fitted the full Bosch VE conversion kit including new timing belt etc and what a transformation it was! The customer left happy with a much more reliable vehicle with plenty of power under foot.

Here's a fuel sample we took from a non-runner that was recovered to us. The larger sample is direct from the fuel tank and the smaller sample was taken from the fuel filter. Needless to say the water content caused some serious damage to the high pressure fuel pump! We removed the fuel tank to clean and drain to make sure we removed every last drop. The injectors were tested in house and luckily they were OK. New high pressure pump fitted, fresh diesel and filter and the vehicle was back up and running 🚗💨💥

Here's a nice little project we've been busy with this week. Mercedes OM605 injection pump fitted with bigger elements (7.7mm) and some other goodies, making this pump capable of achieving BIG POWER! It currently delivers roughly 3 times the amount of fuel at full throttle than it did in standard form 💪
