Often overlooked part of fitting a dropped axle with original spindles bending steering arms to give you plenty of turning circle. These will be run with steering stops on the cotter pin but the amount of cars you see without care taken is surprising. It’s not quick but it’s right! A original style tie rod cut down and re threaded for the narrower track width installed too.

WLA Week, 41’ nearing completion it’s gonna have to run its 16” wheels for now as the correct colour spokes seem non existent at the moment to build up some 18”s. But it’s nice to see it coming together in all its correct colours thanks to the Palmer book & a 43’ in for running issues and an incontinent petrol tank!

Quick and easy hydraulic brake conversion on the A roadster, mounting on the trans and captive nuts for the UJ cover and just a tab welded to the stock pedal makes it very unintrusive

Does anyone want a stock 32 ford crossmember with a dropped A centre section? No I didn’t think so but I have a jig anyway now. Customer wanted his stock crossmember repairing after usual farm yard repairs on the centre. He’s retaining original front motor mounts so they were repaired and then we decided to get the front end 1” lower by using a model A centre with the correct caster built into it too.

Abit of bike action this week with a 1941 WLA, first brought in to get back on the road quickly but soon decided best thing was a full strip and re finish for it to be safe and right. Getting every part into all the correct finishes is another element of the job, whilst we are at it now is the time to do it and what a difference it makes to being all green!

This weeks small jobs done, we like doing these around our full work. Toyota Corolla boom tube ready for the members meeting, throttle shaft plates for a Chevy powered Lister Knobbly. And a pair of 32 fenders which had been bobbed, we re joined them & the tails were raised up 2.5 inches.
