Work completed today on a Vauxhall Vivaro recovered in from the alternator pulley seizing causing the alternator belt to snap.

New alternator and belt fitted and the van was back on the road the following afternoon πŸ‘πŸ½

It’s been a busy first few days here as the doors officially opened to being self-employed at Ed Purvis Vehicle Technician with a Ford Transit Custom 2.0litre Ecoblue wet belt completed for a new customer.

As part of this routine change (required at every 6 years or 100,000miles) we replaced: cambelt and tensioner, oil pump belt, front cover, cleaned out the oil pick up and replaced the sump, and filled up with Ford approved oil and oil filter. All genuine parts used and, don’t forget the best bit, this was Β£800 cheaper than a main dealer.
