This week Anton has been to Budapest to visit the Apollo / Vredestein factory for himself. We highly rate these tyres and to see what goes into making them was a real eye opener! Even the elephants outside were made of Apollo Tyres, an Indian company - hence the Indian elephants 🐘 Apollo Tyres Vredestein Official Downton Tyre and Autocare

🚔 FROM THE FILES: SMOOTH (AND DANGEROUS) OPERATOR! 🎵🚛

🛞 BALD TYRE. DEEP CUT. DANGEROUS COMBINATION. ❌

DVSA enforcement officers discovered a vehicle with one tyre completely bald — smooth as glass! 😳

As if that wasn’t bad enough, another tyre had a deep cut so wide that a coin could fit inside. 🪙⚠️

🚫 The vehicle was taken out of operation, preventing it from continuing its journey in an unsafe condition.

Tyres are a vehicle’s only contact with the road. Defects like these can seriously compromise safety, particularly when carrying heavy loads or travelling at motorway speeds.

👮‍♂️ DVSA enforcement teams continue to tackle dangerous vehicle defects and help keep Britain’s roads safer.

🚛 Drivers and operators: when was the last time you checked your tyres?

👇 Share this post to remind others that tyre safety is no laughing matter!
