This BMW came to us with a great idea for giving it a sharper, more purposeful look — and we were happy to help bring it to life.

We fitted a front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and exhaust tips, adding a more cohesive finish from front to back. We think the transformation has really suited the car. What do you think? 👀

This Golf GTI came in for a major service and a DSG DQ381 service — and it’s clear the owner knows that regular maintenance is key to keeping a performance car at its best. 👌

While it was with us, we also switched the existing Stage 2 setup over to RacingLine Performance Stage 2 software. A great maintenance visit, with a fresh software upgrade to finish things off. 🔥

This little polo had awful knocking and rattling coming from the passenger side

The “D” bushes on the anti roll bar had worn
Along with the bushes we also changed the lower arms, drop links and new ball joints.
And finished off with a wheel alignment 🛞

🔧 Polo GTI in for some well-earned maintenance

We fitted new front top mounts and bearings, replaced the front discs and pads, and renewed the common water pump and thermostat housing.

A freshen-up for the front end, braking system and cooling system, ready to get this GTI back on the road.

☕️ CARS & COFFEE — CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF MD AUTOBAHN! 🚗

This October/November marks 10 years since MD Autobahn opened its doors, so we’re celebrating with a relaxed Cars & Coffee morning — as well as one final get-together to round off the 2026 car-show season.

Come along, enjoy some great cars, grab a coffee and have a look around the workshop. Whether your car is standard, modified, classic, performance-focused or simply your pride and joy, we’d love to see it!

You don’t see many of these on the road nowadays! 👀

This Seat Leon came into us for a service, boost-leak investigation and pre-MOT inspection. Under the bonnet is the highly sought-after 1.9 TDI ARL PD engine—a proper old-school favourite!

✅ Serviced using genuine Volkswagen Group parts
✅ Boost leak traced to a hole in the metal boost pipe
✅ Full pre-MOT inspection completed

We also identified several items requiring attention before its MOT. The Leon is now booked back in with us to have everything sorted and ready for the test.

⚠️ This is why warning lights should never be ignored.

This Audi A4 arrived with airbag faults displayed on the dashboard. We were advised that the vehicle had previously been involved in an accident, had been fully repaired and simply needed the remaining airbag fault investigated.

Unfortunately, this turned out to be far from straightforward.

Once we began inspecting the vehicle, we discovered missing trims, bolts, screws and clips across multiple areas, along with second-hand airbags carrying incorrect part numbers.

As disappointing as those findings were, the condition of the airbag wiring was the greatest concern. The photos show exposed wiring and completely unacceptable previous repairs within a safety-critical system.

Poor workmanship is frustrating at the best of times—but when it involves the system designed to protect the occupants during an accident, it is seriously unsafe and cannot be overlooked.

We’ll now be working methodically through the system, identifying every issue and ensuring the airbag wiring and associated components are repaired correctly.

Proper diagnostics are about finding the cause—not simply making the warning light disappear.

🔥 Chris’ Heavily Modified Golf R

Chris’ impressive Golf R was back in with us for the removal of the air-conditioning compressor and installation of a customer-supplied A/C delete bracket and pulley.

This is a seriously modified Golf R, and one we know particularly well. We’re proud to have carried out the majority of the work involved in building and developing it into the car it is today.

It’s always great to have it back in the MD Autobahn workshop!
