"Mum look quick one of thos 'cat killers'!"

Back in the (my) day, three wheelers very common and were nicknamed car killers because urban myth said that if the front wheel didn't get the cat crossing the road then sure one of the rear ones would!!!

Designs developing after WW2 for a low cost, low tax and possibly low social standing, these were popular here in the North at least.

Three wheelers were of course made famous by the Trotter family of Peckham in a 80's and 90's and featured in a well known TV sitcom.

Nowadays these tend to appeal to a slightly discerning purchaser such as Recce from Skem, who recently bought the Reliant Robin pictured here on our Indespension CT2000 car transporter trailer.

Some jokes may be made this model of transport, but in these cost of living crisis times Recce will surely have the last laugh...

Do you remember the time when you would drive just about anything?

Well local resident James has discovered just how popular his latest acquisition has proved to be with his offspring.

After many years of having to mow his expanse of lawn with a small motorised Mower, he decided to treat himself to a "ride on" to free up time for other chores.

He hired our 10x5ft plant trailer to collect this green and yellow steed, and never realised just how popular it would prove to be with his kids! They are at the age that driving anything will prove exciting.

Enjoy the attention while you can James, before long driving a Mower will be so passé with the "street cred" social media!!

Sounds of Spring.... Old and New.

Old
Back in the day, or the day before, my grandad always said that the sound of the cuckoo, traditionally April 14th St Tiburtius day, was the true start of Spring time

How times have changed.

New
The sound of men, mainly, straining to move yet another hit tub to its new home,

Our trailer has moved 2 hot tubs this weekend, 14th/15th April along with one hire declined. Here we have a pic of Richard's donated hot tub on our Blue Line trailer moving to its new home.

One sign of new times is that both of these hot tubs are to be heated by wood burners, not electricity as previously. Not sure if this change of energy is better for the environment but there you go.

Just thought? Long time since I have heard the sound of the cuckoo, at any time. A sign of the times? Maybe a worrying sign....

Neil hired our Lider car transporter trailer to collect his late father's Rav 4 so that he can move it on.

Always a sad time when a son needs to dispose of his patents possessions.
