Electric Vauxhall Corsa -Recovered as a Non-Drive

This electric Vauxhall Corsa was recovered to us after it became stuck in Park and wouldn’t select drive, leaving it unable to move under its own power.

After carrying out a full diagnostic investigation, we identified the fault with the park lock mechanism within the electric motor assembly.

We replaced the faulty park lock mechanism, carried out the necessary checks and got this Corsa safely back on the road.

Another example of why accurate diagnosis is so important, especially when dealing with modern electric vehicles.

This Ford Kuga came into with an air conditioning system that simply wasn’t working properly.

A faulty evaporator temperature sensor.

The sensor itself may sound like a small component, but replacing it on this particular Kuga was far from a small job.

πŸ› οΈ The dashboard had to be removed to gain access to the evaporator sensor and carry out the repair correctly.

Our technicians carried out the repair, reassembled the dashboard and tested the system to make sure the air conditioning was operating as it should. β„οΈπŸ’¨

⚑ Tesla Model S repair completed at Saffron Autos πŸ”§

This Tesla Model S came to us with no cabin heating due to a failed PTC heater.

The faulty heater caused a high-voltage fuse inside a control unit under the bonnet to blow. To carry out the repair safely, we first isolated the high-voltage system before beginning diagnostics and testing.

Normally, this repair can involve removing the high-voltage battery, a huge and time-consuming job.

Instead, using specialist EV knowledge, careful testing, and even a mirror to access and inspect the fuse assembly, we were able to replace the blown fuse without removing the battery pack πŸ‘Œ

βœ”οΈ High-voltage system safely isolated
βœ”οΈ Fuse replaced
βœ”οΈ Heating restored
βœ”οΈ Repair completed at around 1/3 less than Tesla pricing
