A roadside callout to this Citroën after a tyre problem left the driver needing a little help.

Our mobile fitter was soon on scene, the damaged tyre was removed, replacement fitted and the customer was back on their way. 👌

🚜 BACK ON THE FARM 🐔

There’s something about agricultural work we just love. No shiny workshop floors, no easy jobs, just getting stuck in and keeping the Island moving.

This tractor was in need of a new tyre, so our mobile van headed out to the farm and got it sorted on site, under the watchful eye of a few interested locals... 🐔😂

🚛 10 TYRES. ONE EVENING. MINIMUM DOWNTIME.

A big job for one of our valued fleet customers, J.A. Dempsey Civil Engineering.

With a fair few tyre renewals needed across the fleet, the priority was simple: get them done without disrupting their working day.

So Tony stepped up and offered to tackle all 10 tyre changes out of hours that evening, getting the vehicles ready to go again with minimum downtime.

What a legend. 👏

This is the bit of Wight Tyres that customers don't always get to see.

There are only five of us. When a big job lands, there isn't a huge workforce waiting in the background. It's a small team pulling together, putting the hours in and finding a way to get the job done.

Sometimes that means staying late. Sometimes it means reshuffling the day. Sometimes it means taking on what initially looks like an impossible workload and making it possible.

We genuinely wouldn't be where we are today without the right people around us.

🚗 A busy Monday at Wight Tyres!

This Toyota originally came in for just one tyre… but while it was with us, the customer took advantage of one of our FREE wheel alignment checks.

The check showed the alignment needed attention, so with the customer’s approval, we made the necessary adjustments while the car was already with us. ✅

That’s the kind of added value we want our customers to get from visiting Wight Tyres:

This one came in for some new Falken tyres and while we had it on the ramp, we also carried out some brake work, including cleaning and lubricating the caliper carriers and fitting new components where required.

🔧 New parts fitted. Alignment checked. Numbers verified.

This Clio came in for a track rod end replacement, followed by a full wheel alignment once the repair was complete.

And this is a good example of something worth explaining.

New parts don’t necessarily mean every alignment figure will land absolutely bang in the centre of the target. There are multiple angles involved, some are adjustable and some aren’t.

What matters is that the vehicle finishes within the manufacturer’s specified tolerances. ✅

That’s exactly what we achieved here.

We don’t align cars by eye. We don’t rely on “that looks about right”. Our computerised alignment equipment measures the geometry and gives us the figures to work from.

Green means within tolerance. 🟢

We use computers.
We keep records.
We provide before and after results.
We like accountability.

And yes… we quite like shouting about it too. 😂

📢 Customer Notice – Wednesday 27th August

To ensure we continue providing the most accurate wheel alignment service possible, our wheel alignment system will be unavailable for the afternoon of Wednesday 27th August.

Why?

Because it’s time for its annual service and calibration.

Just like any precision piece of equipment, our alignment machine needs regular servicing and calibration to ensure every adjustment we carry out is as accurate as it can be.

We could have left it for a few more months…

But that’s not how we do things at Wight Tyres.

We’d rather have it serviced slightly ahead of schedule than risk compromising the quality and accuracy of the service we provide.

✅ Manufacturer-recommended maintenance
✅ Ensuring every alignment remains as accurate as possible

Please note:
🚫 Wheel alignment checks and four-wheel alignments will be unavailable during the afternoon of Wednesday 27th August.

Everything else in the workshop will continue as normal.
