Congratulations to Isaac Shirley on passing his Driving Test at his 1st attempt earlier today at Lichfield DTC with a handful of DFS.
You've worked hard to get to this point and very lucky with the test, but a Pass is a Pass and that is what counts. Will miss the laughs and the conversation with you on our Monday morning.
Good luck with the new job in August, now you can get there in your own car. Be safe mate and massive well done.

A Hugh congratulations to Erin Seabridge ( a little shy to show face) on Passing her Driving Test on her first attempt this afternoon at Lichfield DTC with 3 DFS and excellent comments of a very nice drive from the Examiner.
A big secret kept from all after bringing the test forward from July to now.
You've been a pleasure to teach and ensured you took everything onboard. Will miss our little laughs but, will see you around and for your Motorway lesson down the line.

All current learners/ new starters important message re driving test bookings ( please share with parents)

As most of you are hopefully now aware the system of booking driving tests is changing next week and no driving instructor in the country will be able to book or change a driving test date - you will all have to do it yourselves

IMHO its a very sad day and bad decision which may have a negative impact on road safety but our voices have not been heard so we must accept the changes
Just for information there are currently no tests available to book anywhere in the midlands until mid october ( a new week is dropped on every Monday morning at 0600 so in 4 weeks time it will be earliest dates of mid november)

This means it is more important than ever to target a realistic date as if you are not safe and ready I will have no option but to advise you to change your test date

Things are about to become extremely challenging but I will continue to help and advise as much as possible but in essence

Pass your theory today - earliest test date mid october / fail your driving test today earliest retest likely to be same date of mid october

Cancellations may become available but they are extremely rare

You have been warned and sadly its not the best of news but it is the same for every learner throughout the country

Please beware of any websites offering to secure earlier tests as they are not official and equivalent of ticket touts profiteering from supply / demand
