⚠️ Important Technical Reminder for 2026 FIM Events ⚠️

With 13 FIM World Championship races being hosted in the UK by the ACU in 2026, including this coming weekend’s Sidecarcross at Canada Heights. We would like to remind all riders and teams of the latest FIM technical regulations.

From 2026, FIM homologated helmets with a valid FRHPhe-02 label will be mandatory in all championships (excluding Trial, pedelec, SSV and selected Land Speed World Record categories).

Riders must also wear certified chest and back protectors:
βœ”οΈ Back Protector – EN 1621-2 Level 1 or 2
βœ”οΈ Chest Protector – EN 1621-3 Level 1 or 2

Please note that any modifications to protectors will invalidate certification and the equipment will not be accepted.

We encourage all riders to check their equipment now to ensure it complies with the latest FIM regulations ahead of the season and upcoming events. 🏁

The Auto-Cycle Union’s High Performance Academy (HPA) motocross programme has moved into a new phase, with coaches now working alongside riders at races in the UK and Europe.

Following the initial selection process and an early assessment camp, the current focus of rider development activities has shifted towards hands-on support at championship rounds, where riders Drew Stock, Lucas Moncrieff and Hayden Statt are receiving guidance in the competitive environment.

ACU Motocross Performance Director Mark Chamberlain and Head Coach Stephen Sword have already attended EMX rounds in Spain, Switzerland and Italy with members of the HPA squad. They’ve also been to the opening rounds of the MXGB series where their work has been supported by five-time British champion, Tommy Searle.
