For information purposes following on from an occurance today - we hope you find this useful.

If you book a test more than one month early:

- your new MOT expiry date will be one year from the date of the new test, and your annual renewal date will change.

- this gives you the flexibility to get your next test done earlier, however you will lose the extra time from the old MOTbcertificate.

If you book a test within one month (minus a day) of the expiry date:

- your new MOT expiry date will be same as the old one, which is a full year from the date of the new test.

- this is useful if you want to get the test done but don’t want to lose any of the existing validity period.
