I’ve gone with a Type 9 tunnel on the Mk1.

I was always going to run a Type 9 box, and I much prefer how the tunnel hugs the gearbox rather than a boxy one. It also means I can retain the original gearbox mounting arrangement.

It’s running a Trans-X straight-cut gearset with a 2.40 first gear… With the 1821cc Twin Cam making 181bhp at 7,500rpm, and a 4.1 Quaife L*D at the rear, I’m hoping I’ve found that sweet spot I was looking for.

Looking forward to finding out
