Filler wasn't saving this one๐Ÿ˜ณ

This Corsa came in with a tear right on the panel line. Which revealed poor previous repairs involving high amounts of filler. To make the job right, we decided the best route was to replace the 1/4 panel.

Jobs like this can be repaired but itโ€™s often, as in this case, more cost effective to replace the panel.

Why? The 1/4 panel is single skinned so it is very flimsy, pulling/panel beating can often make this panel even weaker. Not to mention the amount of hours we would need to spend repairing this. A lot of places may be willing to repair this but at Coopers we pride ourselves on putting your car as close to manufactures standards as possible. Weโ€™re not robots but we try our best ๐Ÿคฃ

There was only one man for the jobโ€ฆ Gilly got straight to work cutting out the panel and executed a full factory standard 1/4 panel replacement. Restoring the vehicles original strength and crumple zones.

We also supplied and fitted a brand new rear bumper which was test fitted against the adjacent panels before it saw any prep/paint to ensure that the gaps lined up perfectly.

The rear door was primed and painted and we also blended the paint into the front door so that there was a seamless, unnoticeable colour match down the entire side of the car.

As a finishing touch we re-finished the A-pillar in gloss black to bring the Corsaโ€™s signature style back to life.

This Tiguan came in needing some attention on the passenger side after an unfortunate accident and Leon delivered from start to finish๐Ÿ’ช

2 new doors were fitted on the passenger side, no bodges repairs. New doors fitted properly to manufacturer standards.

The B pillar was pulled back to shape. The B pillar sits between your front and rear doors and is critical to your vehicle's safety in a side impact. This isn't a job you rush or cut corners on. Our technicians have the knowledge and tools to restore its structural integrity.

We blending into the wing and quarter panel. this is where the real skill comes in. Blending means feathering the new paint seamlessly into the existing panels so the repair is completely undetectable. There is no room for error with a colour mismatch or visible edges, there must be no signs of repair. It takes experience, skill and a proper spray and bake system to get this right. Itโ€™s no surprise that Leon nailed it.

The result? A Tiguan that looks exactly as it shouldโ€ฆ like nothing ever happened. That's the Coopers standard. Every repair, every timeโค๏ธ

With electric vehicles the wrong body shop is an expensive mistake waiting to happen๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ”‹

Thatโ€™s why when this fully electric Lexus ux300e came to us for rear end repairs, it went straight into the hands of our certified EV technicians.

We have the safety equipment and specialised processes in place to protect both our team and your vehicle. Because this job didnโ€™t require any pulling/welding it didn't require a power down and could safely head into the booth. But having the right training means we know exactly what safety protocols are required for every type of damage.

As our booth gets very hot in order to cure the paint we use a special EV Lacquer which cures at a much lower temperature. This prevents permanently damaging the battery cells.

With the safety protocols handled, Jack was able to strip down the rear end and prep the panels. Leon then delivered a flawless factory paint match on the rear bumper and tailgate over in the booth. To finish off the job we fitted a brand new lower moulding and fresh genuine badges.

The danger of just bolting it on ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ‘€

This Ford Puma Racing came in for what looked like a straight forward wing swap. The customer supplied the panels and all we needed to do was paint and fit themโ€ฆ on paper it was an in and out job.

At Coopers, we always test fit new parts before they see any prep and it was at this stage we realised the new wings wouldn't sit right. The culprit? A crushed slam panel.

A lot of shops might have forced it but Leon and Jack got to work to fully strip the car before cutting and welding a new front panel to make sure the structural integrity was 100%. As with every bare metal repair we do, it was also sealed with epoxy primer to lock out moisture and prevent rust for years to come. The wings were then prepped and transferred to the booth to be painted to perfection.

If we had just prepped and painted those wings, they never would have lined up. The gaps would have been off, the headlights would have sat squinted and most importantly the structural integrity would have been compromised.

Because we took the time to fix what was underneath the final assembly was a dream. This puma is now back on the road 100% safe and looking 10/10.
