Meet Archie, aged 6, who hadn’t even been in a dinghy before April… and now he’s "standing up sailing!"

When Archie was asked to draw the best bit of his summer as he started school, this is what he chose. 🥹💙 We think you’ll agree, it’s pretty special!

The RS21 World Championship 2026 is shaping up to be one seriously competitive showdown!

With just under two weeks to go, we’ve hit 40 entries, with top teams from across the globe ready to battle it out at Yacht Club de Cannes, 28-31 October. And with some big names already on the list, the competition is heating up… 🔥

At age 17, Otto Coleman is already discovering just how far sailing can take him.

Competing at 2026, Otto raced in the RS Venture Connect. In this video he shares his journey into sailing; from discovering a connection with nature and the outdoors to finding a community of people who encourage and support him along the way.

One of the highlights of RS Fest was getting out on San Francisco Bay alongside so many other sailors. The RS Venture Connect fleet sailed alongside the RS Tera, RS Feva and RS Aero fleets, bringing multiple RS Classes together on the same water. This is the inclusive spirit of RS Fest.

And the support didn’t stop at the shore.

“Even while on the water, other boats out there were giving me tips, telling me what to pull - screaming at me which direction to go. All of that has been really helpful.”

His message to anyone who thinks they have limits? “If you think you can’t, just try it. I’m pretty sure you will be able to do it and you’re going to have a lot of fun.”

Get out there. Give it a try. You might surprise yourself.

Four rigs. Three days. Every kind of challenge. 🌊

Gusty 20-knot northerlies, choppy southerlies and a big-wave easterly finale; the 2026 RS Aero North American Championship, Oct 8-11, delivered a true test of skill, speed and adaptability at Cedar Point Yacht Club in Connecticut!

It was a championship to remember with close racing across all four rigs and international representation from 🇨🇦 🇮🇪 🇵🇱 🇨🇴 🇮🇹 as well as 🇺🇸.

🌊 348 youth sailors. One huge weekend of team racing! ⛵

The RYA Eric Twiname Team Racing Championships took place at Oxford Sailing Club, 10–11 October - the largest team racing event in the world in 2026!

With the reservoir packed to the max, sailors faced big winds on Day 1 and lighter breezes on Day 2, making for a weekend of exciting, tactical racing. The Junior and Super-Junior fleets battled it out in RS Fevas, while the Youth division raced in Fireflys.

An event like this takes a HUGE team! A big thank you to the 30+ volunteers who made it all happen, from race management and safety boat crews to catering, trolley stackers, (our very own Tom Barnes in the RS Sailing Store van) and Waterside Cafe at Farmoor Reservoir keeping the cakes & tea flowing. Your time, energy and enthusiasm make a real difference in supporting youth sailing.
