Position: eBay Marketing Assistant (Full-Time)
Company Overview
We are a busy automotive parts business specializing in second-hand car parts, and we are seeking a dedicated and organised eBay Marketing Assistant to join our team.
Position Summary
Oversee eBay sales, from listing and photography to order fulfillment and dispatch. This active role suits someone who thrives in a varied and fast-paced environment.
Hours
• Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 1 hour unpaid lunch break
• Free onsite parking provided
Key Responsibilities
Listing and Photography
• Photograph second-hand car parts to a high standard for eBay listings.
• Create detailed and accurate eBay listings with clear descriptions.
• Ensure all listings are optimized for search and customer appeal.
• Maintain consistent quality across all product photography and descriptions.
Order Processing and Dispatch
• Package orders securely and appropriately for courier collection
• Dispatch orders in a timely manner to meet customer expectations
• Book collections with various courier services
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatches and tracking information.
General Duties
• Monitor eBay account performance and customer inquiries.
• Assist with stock management and organization.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as required to support business operations.
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good written communication skills for creating listings
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic computer literacy and comfortable learning new systems
• Physically able to handle automotive parts and packaging tasks
Essential
• Previous experience with eBay selling
• Knowledge of motor vehicle parts and automotive terminology
• Experience with product photography – preferred but not essential
• Familiarity with courier booking systems – preferred but not essential

Rochford Scarp are looking for a proactive, driven and reliable member to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for somone to get experience working around different machieny and tools and is ideal for somone who is looking to work in a hand on environment.

The job will primarily be removing car parts to sell, this will be your own project to development and manage how you wish, you can use sites like eBay and Facebook but the more you get to know the market the easier it will become.

You will be responsible for:

• Removing the parts
•Cleaning/testing them
•Picturing and listing
•Communicating with customers
•Posting/organising collection of the parts
•Keeping a basic data base with stock and sales

There will be a base rate of pay however there will also be the opportunity for commission, which if you put the work into, has seen to be a great earner in the past.

You may be asked to help out doing various other jobs, and overtime may also be available helping out with different things as part of the different businesses.

Whilst I will always only be a phone call away, we are looking for somone who can motivate themselves and is driven for success, somone who already has enought basic knowledge to get started.

This will be based at the yard on purdeys Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

UL*Z...are you ready? 🚘⛽️

With the UL*Z expanding again on the 29th August 2023 you could be facing a daily charge of £12.50 if you vehicle dose not meet the emission standards.

This year's expansion will mean every single borough of London will be included with no exceptions.

UL*Z operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week, with the only exception being Christmas day. 🎄

With areas such as Romford, Barking, Ilford, Hornchurch and Rainham included it may be a lot closer than you think. 👀

With less than 7 months to go now would be a great time to find out how much we could give you for your old car - you will then be able to used this towards a car that fits the criteria saving you money in the long run.

Based on a 5 day commute, you are looking at an additional cost of £62.50 a week which could add up to £3,250 a year! 😣

While the UL*Z is enforced based on the emissions of the vehicle on a general basis Petrol cars that meet the standard are often first registered with the DVLA after 2005, although cars that meet the standard have been available since 2001.
Diesel cars that meet the standard are generally the ones registered after September 2015.

There is a checker available on the TFL website which will tell you if your car meets the standard required or you will have to pay the daily charge.

✅️ ••• OPEN AS USUAL ••• ✅

Our yard based on Purdsey Industrial Estate will be effected by roadworks in the upcoming weeks, please be assured we will be open as usual however access will be as below.

•• We would like to take the time to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause our customers, please remember that we do offer a COLLECTION service on scrap cars and oversized scrap so please enquire if it would be more convenient for us to come to you ••

🦺 • The works are due to take place between 16th January and 8th Febuary, they will be completed under a phased road closure and temporary traffic lights.

Access to the estate will be maintained via diversion routes.

We will continue to operate as normal throughout the works but please call us to enquire if you have any questions throughout this time.

🚦⛔️ • Phase One

The first phase is estimated to take 10 days, access to the estate will be from the Anne Boleyn end with the road closed from the Purdsey estate entrance towards Southend between 7pm - 6am. Traffic lights will be in use outside these hours.

🚦⛔️ • Phase Two

The second phase is estimated to take 14 days, access to the estate will be from the Southend end of Sutton Road with the road fully closed from the Purdsey estate entrance to the Anne Boleyn 24/7.

This is the information we have available to us at present and will update you if we get notified of any chances.

We here at Rochford scrap we would like to thank all our customers for your continued support in 2022. We could not have done it without you.

We will be closing our doors on Friday the 24th of December at 5:00 and will reopen as normal on the 3rd of January 2023.
