Yesterday I was told by another tuning company that the ZF8 gearbox can’t be remapped…. so today we remapped this one 🤷‍♂️
Engine already mapped so just given the gearbox mapping. The customers message will do the talking….

This customer in Chelmsford was told by two different remapping companies that the gearbox on his 2016 F-Pace 3.0d couldn’t be remapped, and one of them even attended to remap the engine ECU only to say that couldn’t be done either…
Nonsense! We attended yesterday. Gearbox mapping took 15 minutes, whilst the ECU took 15 minutes to remove to bench tune, and 15 minutes to refit, and all done in under 90 minutes, including the test drive afterwards…

Now boasting 345bhp/790nm, an increase of 49bhp/90nm, and crisper, more precise and optimised gearshifts, it’s much more enjoyable to drive!

This is the difference between professional specialists, and wannabe’s…

Jaguar F-Type 3.0s/c Remap

Gain 60Bhp 50Nm
Another day and another great car from the JLR stable for remapping. The F-Type is such a pretty car and quite hard to believe they came out 11 years ago. There are two 3.0S/C variants a 340 and a 380Bhp version, both are identical mechanically bar the engine map so the lesser powered one has rather nice gains of 60Bhp 50Nm. All completed at the customers house in Essex for convenience.

Range Rover Sport SVR 5.0S/C Remap
ECU and Gerabox remapped 14/07/2025 in Dorking
Gain 65Bhp 110Nm
First car of the week, and it's a beautiful Range Rover Sport SVR for our friends at JagDoctor in Dorking. They had already fitted a new, 7.5% smaller top pulley on the supercharger, so all that was left to do was remap the engine to accommodate the extra boost. The icing on the cake was remapping the gearbox too for faster, smoother gear changes.
A great result for a great motor.

Porsche Macan 3.6 BiTurbo Remap
ECU remapped 20/12/2024 in Dorking
Gain 46bhp 90nm
400P.S. ( 394bhp) is enough power from a smallish SUV right? Go wash your mouth out, of course it's not. Remapping what is already a great vehicle adds 46bhp and 90Nm to the 4wd Porker. The Siemens SDI10.2 ECU is not the simplest by modern standards to communicate with requiring what we call a boot read and write. This involves removing the ecu from the vehicle and connecting directly to both the plugs and the pcb board. The operation was completed in a couple of hours and a very happy customer.

Mercedes C43AMG Remap

Gain 31BHp 107Nm
Its been over 9 years since we remapped this customers Mitsubishi EVO so its nice to get a call to remap his new whip. A 2020 Mercedes c43 AMG Convertible. With a Ghost alarm fitted and the chance of later tuning protection, we opted to tune the ecu on the bench. The exact software we have seen before so no problem to tune and a dyno proven file that added 31Bhp 107Nm was soon written to the ECU.
A big smile on return from the test drive told us he was happy. Hopefully he wont wait another 9 years before getting his next car LOL

Following on from the 5 white XF's last week 4 out of the 5 XF's I've been to this week were black.... what's next week going to bring???
Mostly been working local this week apart from a trip to Lincoln on Friday.... a mix of x250 and x260 models both diesel and petrol receiving the Delta magic.

All taking advantage of the large discount offered when getting the gearbox remapped at the same time as the engine...

Highlight car this week is this stunning x260 XF 3.0 Petrol Supercharged. A little trip down to Guisborough on a Sunday afternoon. As you can see in the pics a couple of styling changes already done with the Maxton splitter and a set of staggered alloys from an F Type certainly enhance the sportiness of this Supercharged salloon. No need to connect straight to the ECU with this model all work carried out safely through the OBD port. Great results instantly achieved with our model specific dyno developed maps.....

Yes you read that right.... that's the most miles I've ever done in one week spreading the Delta magic 1,735. I've been as far north as Aberdeen as far west as Llangammarch in Wales ( MRM SpeedShop ) as far east as the coast of South Shields and furthest south was for this Audi S4 3.0 TFSi in Chepstow.....

The S4 already has very impressive performance and benefits from the Quatro drive train.... but an extra 41bhp and very impressive gain of 100Nm of torque transforms the way this car performs.... gains added into the low and mid rev ranges so the increased performance is very noticeable in everyday real world driving situations.... no more flat spots and a much smoother power delivery helping towards better economy too... £ for £ this has to be the best improvement you can do to your car.
