𝗕𝗠𝗪 𝗚𝟮𝟬 𝟯𝟯𝟬𝗲 (𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵) ⚡

This BMW 330e came to us with a drivetrain malfunction warning, difficulty starting the petrol engine and what appeared to be a jamming starter motor.

Not exactly what you want to see on your dashboard! 😬

Unlike a conventional petrol BMW, the 330e uses a hybrid drivetrain, which makes investigating starting issues a little more interesting.

𝗙𝗨𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧 👀

Did you know the G20 330e uses an electric motor integrated into its 8-speed automatic gearbox?

The petrol engine is started through the hybrid drive system rather than a conventional starter motor during normal operation.

And here's another interesting bit — thanks to BMW's XtraBoost function, the 330e can briefly produce up to 292 hp from its 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and electric motor combined! ⚡💨
