Eating out should feel like something — and at Shozna, you get to choose the version that suits the evening.

Downstairs fills up quickly. Full tables, good noise, the kind of room that gets going without much effort. Upstairs, the Shozna Dining Room is a different proposition entirely. Quieter, more considered, seats up to 60. The sort of space that makes the meal feel like an occasion rather than just another dinner out.

Downstairs has the energy — full tables, good noise, the kind of room that gets going without much effort. Downstairs fills up quickly most evenings — there's an energy to it that's hard to plan for and easy to enjoy. It's been like that for a long time.

Upstairs, the Shozna Dining Room is a different proposition entirely. Seats up to 60, considerably quieter, with the kind of atmosphere that suits a birthday dinner, a work occasion, or simply an evening where the conversation matters as much as the food.

Whether it's a corporate event, a birthday dinner, a wedding reception or a family celebration, we'll work with you on a bespoke menu, arrange AV equipment if you need it, and take care of the details. Smart casual dress code is in place for the room — no sportswear, trainers or shorts.

Proper Indian and Bangladeshi cooking takes time. Spices ground fresh, ingredients sourced carefully, dishes prepared the way they should be rather than the way that's quickest.

We've been doing it this way since 1996, and the two national awards — Curry Life Awards 2021: Best Curry House in the UK, and Asian Curry Awards 2024: Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year, South East England — are a reminder that the long way round tends to be the right one.
