A job in at the minute that illustrates the importance of anti freeze.

Anti freeze is a glycol based additive in the coolant of your engine. It not only stops the coolant freezing it also prevents the internal parts of your engine rusting. This vehicle had obviously been sat a while and the harsh winter had caused the coolant to freeze which then expanded within the engine causing this core plug to pop out. Core plugs are fitted to the engine after they are casted so gaining access to replace them once they are covered with ancillary components and fitted in the vehicle can be tricky and costly.

In lew of this we are now offering winter checks for only £25. For this we will check multiple components of your car and keep your vehicle safe and reliable for the winter.
